‘Yellowstone’ Co-Creator Taylor Sheridan Inducted into Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame: What to Know

Taylor Sheridan is officially joining the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame tonight. It was first announced that the “Yellowstone” co-creator would join the esteemed list last November.

Taylor Sheridan might be known for his acting, directing, and screenwriting. However, the Texas native is a horse enthusiast. He has won more than $10,000 in competing in reining and cutting events. What’s more, Sheridan even uses most of his horses in the hit TV series “Yellowstone.”

Additionally, Taylor Sheridan’s wife, Nicole, also competes.

‘Yellowstone’ Creator Taylor Sheridan Joining Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame

The Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame ceremony is happening tonight at Billy Bob’s Texas, located in the legendary Fort Worth Stockyards.

Taylor Sheridan is joining the likes of racing Quarter Horse breeder Bobby Cox, Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame founder Bobby Kerr, and Western apparel businessman Keith Maddox. Additionally, rodeo couple Stran and Jennifer Smith are receiving honors as well. The 2021 Spirit of Texas Award Recipient will be country music artist Bob Wills.

The evening begins with cocktails and a silent auction at 5:30 pm CST. The Induction Ceremony starts at 7 pm CST, following a meal with the title “Cowboy Cuisine.”

However, those interested in watching the event can tune in via the Cowboy Channel on March 21 for a recap.

“Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame honors those individuals who have shown excellence in competition, business and support of rodeo and western lifestyle in Texas,” the site states.

Sheridan is Just Getting Started with Slew of New Shows

“Yellowstone” might seem like a launching point for this succesfull show creator. However, that’s not to discount Sheridan’s other work. Some of his other projects include “Sicario”, “Hell Or High Water” and “Wind River.”

Just last year he produced a reality show “The Last Cowboy.” Sheridan was also involved in the other major successful TV show, “Sons of Anarchy.”

But now, the 50-year-old is lining up several new shows. These Sheridan-backed shows include the “Yellowstone” spinoff “6666,” “Land Man” and “The Mayor of Kingstown.” Plus let’s not forget about the “Yellowstone” prequel, “Y:1883.

Taylor Sheridan speaks highly of the Paramount Network and touches on their relationship.

“To work with a company who is willing to trust the artist, and really gamble… It’s the most important thing. Paramount+ is the future of our industry. We share the same vision. We want to tell these stories – and we will do that,” Sheridan explains.

All of these programs will be available to stream on Paramount+. This newish network, previously CBS All Access, is getting a makeover, as well as a new name.
