‘Yellowstone’ Fans Offer Their Favorite Thomas Rainwater Moments from Season 3

Thomas Rainwater is a core character who makes “Yellowstone” such an impressive show. Fans are sharing thoughts about him from the show’s third season.

Rainwater, played by Native American actor Gil Birmingham, is Chairman of the Confederated Tribe of Broken Rock Reservation.

Conversely, Rainwater butts heads with billionaire John Dutton, played by Kevin Costner. Their dramatic work brings fans back wanting more week after week from them and fellow cast members.

The show reached out to fans through Twitter, asking them to offer up their favorite moments involving Rainwater.

Also, Birmingham’s nearly three decades’ worth of work in film and television is memorable. He stars with Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen in Taylor Sheridan’s Wind River. Birmingham also co-stars alongside Academy Award-winning actor Jeff Bridges in Hell or High Water.

The Paramount Network, in advance of the show’s fourth season, put together a highlight reel of the show’s top moments from the third season.

Moreover, a lot of memorable lines were uttered by its characters.

These include John Dutton’s line, “Learn to be meaner than evil and still love your family and enjoy a sunrise,” is one to hang your cowboy hat on for life.

Obviously, fans remember Rip Wheeler saying a few profound truths. He says, “You know, when you boil life down, it’s funny just how little you need, isn’t it?”

The third-season recap ends with highlights from the finale. They include Jimmy being bucked off his horse and Kayce and John’s assassination attempt.

The fourth season will start airing in June 2021. All filming was done in Montana due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Showrunner Taylor Sheridan spoke to Deadline about how filming took place amid the coronavirus.

“So we’ve got the crew and the cast up there, and it’s in an area of the state that has no active cases now,” he told the outlet in July. “As long as we’re very careful to not bring any in…so once we’re there, we’ll be very cautious about how we move. The best thing we can do for the community is [to] limit our interaction with them, really, for now. And everyone will just stay there for the duration.
