‘Yellowstone’ Fans React to Brutal Season 4 Finale Bunkhouse Brawl

by Jennifer Shea

The Yellowstone Season 4 finale is out, and it is chock full of surprises. And fans are here for it.

WARNING: Yellowstone Season 4 finale spoilers below.

Yellowstone fans were floored to learn that Jimmy (Jefferson White) is engaged to Emily (Kathryn Kelly). But jaws were really dropping when Mia (Eden Brolin) and Emily got into an all-out brawl in the Bunkhouse.

The brawl ended with Jimmy dragging Mia away from his new fiancée and out the Bunkhouse door. Once outside, he pointed out to Mia that she had dumped him only to return to his old workplace. Mia was unrepentant.

“Choose,” she demanded. “Her or me.”

The way series co-creator Taylor Sheridan had set that choice up, it was no contest. And Yellowstone fans promptly took to Twitter to make their reactions – to the engagement, and to the brawl – quite clear with GIFs, emoticons and many exclamation marks.

Yellowstone Fans Weigh in on Bunkhouse Scene

Yellowstone fans were shocked to learn that Jimmy and Emily are engaged. But really, is it any more shocking than seeing Mia back in the Bunkhouse? Not so long ago, she abandoned Laramie (Hassie Harrison) in the midst of a near-lethal fight between Walker (Ryan Bingham) and Lloyd (Forrie J. Smith), saying, “F— this place,” or words to that effect. What was she even doing back there, anyway?

And last we saw Jimmy and Emily, things were getting serious fast. It makes sense that Jimmy wouldn’t expect Emily to wait for him without some kind of commitment. And she seemed pretty smitten with him, so it makes sense that she’d say yes.

But fans were marveling at the engagement and at the fight that immediately followed the news of it. They weighed in with hilarious commentary that underscored the rapt attention of the Yellowstone fanbase to every new development on the show.

Where Will Jimmy Go Next?

Now that John Dutton (Kevin Costner) has released Jimmy from any obligation to the Dutton Ranch, it looks like Jimmy is free and clear to return to the Four Sixes. But John said there will always be a place for Jimmy at the Yellowstone. Will he find that offer tempting?

Most likely, it appears Jimmy is headed back to Texas, with Emily in tow. Is this the point where Jimmy’s Yellowstone story ends and the spinoff 6666 begins? Or is there more to the story than that?

Fans will just have to stay tuned to find out.
