Among the star-studded cast of the hit Paramount Network series “Yellowstone,” you won’t find a more authentic actor than Forrie J. Smith.
Smith is a real deal, been there and done that cowboy who adds a layer of authenticity to the show. The “Yellowstone” star grew up on a cattle ranch and knows all the ends and outs of the cowboy life. He was also a rodeo star in his youth and that also shows up every time he appears on screen. Some of the framed photos and medals you see inside the “Yellowstone” bunkhouse are Smith’s actual possessions.
He’s likely the only actor on the show that didn’t need to attend Taylor Sheridan’s “cowboys school” that he put the cast through. In fact, it may have been Smith instructing, or at least helping, the cowboy classes. Who better to teach the cast to ride and rope than a real deal cowboy like Forrie J. Smith?
Growing up in the western culture also taught the “Yellowstone” star to admire mother nature and appreciate her beauty. Smith often uses social media to share photos of beautiful nearby landscapes. Recently spending some time in New Mexico, Smith took to social media to share a photo of an amazing sunset.
“God’s Beauty!” Smith writes in the caption space. “Good night from NM”
It doesn’t get more beautiful than the New Mexico sunset that Smith captured and shared on his page. Smith is far from the only “Yellowstone” cast member to share landscape photos from the show’s set. Numerous others like Brecken Merrill, Finn Little and Cole Hauser have also shared amazing photos of their surroundings. The show is filmed in Montana which boasts some of the best natural scenery.
‘Yellowstone’ Season Four Episode Four Airs Tonight
“Yellowstone” fans are preparing for their next dose of modern western goodness as a new episode comes out later tonight (Sunday). It will be the fourth new episode of the fourth season. From a recently released trailer, it appears that Forrie J Smith’s character, Lloyd, will be heavily involved.
It looks like the long-standing rivalry between Lloyd and fellow Yellowstone ranch hand Walker will finally boil over. In a surprise to no one, the two cowboys are feuding over a girl, Laramie.
Laramie spent most of last season at Lloyd’s side, despite being nearly 40 years younger than him. The “buckle bunny” now spends her time with Walker, much to Lloyd’s dismay,
Proclaiming himself “the boss when the boss is away,” Lloyd looks as if he is ready to confront Walker in tonight’s brand new episode. It should make for a few very intense scenes between the two ranch hands.
“Yellowstone” will air its latest new episode, “Winning or Losing” tonight at 9 p.m. ET.
