Yellowstone’s own Jimmy, Jefferson White, has been documenting his fellow cast in 35mm for years now. But how much longer will he be able to do so?

“Ian, Luke, Jake, Cole and Ethan on 35mm,” the actor posts to his official Instagram Monday. The shot comes from Season 4 and might even be a behind-the-scenes look at last night’s Episode 5 by the timing and looks of it.

Within, the Yellowstone cowboys are all ready to work; showcasing the horseback prowess of those involved. Even if some of the actors (like White himself) were not raised as cowboys at all, there’s no faking it on Yellowstone. Each actor went through rigorous training – and continues to do so to this day – if they weren’t a cowboy prior.

“Love this!” comments Laramie co-star Hassie Harrison over on Instagram.

Yellowstone fan Terri P., however, says “We need you back at Yellowstone! 6666 isn’t your place.”

Jefferson White’s Jimmy would absolutely agree with this sentiment. But that may wind up being the reason he gives Texas cowboying his all. Either way, his days of being on-set in Montana with the fellow bunkhouse boys are drawing to a close, something that is sure to have the actor one sad gent. At the very least, he’ll no longer be photographing his co-stars in 35mm. As for his character…

Blessing or Curse? ‘Yellowstone’ Shuns Jimmy to 6666 Spinoff

As Taylor Sheridan’s Travis explains to Jimmy, if the 6666 can’t make a cowboy out of Hurdstrom – then nowhere (or no one) can. And this is exactly where Yellowstone spinoff 6666 looks to be heading.

While we don’t know too much about 6666 outside of the historic ranch itself, we do know it will at least feature Jimmy’s future and use him as the connective tissue to Yellowstone proper. Another Dutton rancher is set to join the spinoff, too: Ryan Bingham’s Walker. The fallout for this transfer occurs in Season 4, as well. And don’t forget Taylor Sheridan’s Travis Wheatley, who is also expected to factor in as this fictional version of himself.

As Yellowstone Season 4 has shown us so far, however, it’s Jimmy Hurdstrom we should expect to become a big part of the 6666 legacy. He’s already doing so in Yellowstone proper as his storyline continues to take precedence alongside the Duttons. Whether this is a good thing or not depends on the audience member so far.

But if one thing’s for certain, it’s that Jimmy will be far more a fish-out-of-water for 6666 than we were expecting. He was able to pass for a junior rancher in Montana. But on the most infamous Texas ranch of them all? He’s back to square 1.
