When “Yellowstone” star Jefferson White learned that the Season 4 release date was unveiled on Thursday, he couldn’t control his happiness.
White, who plays ranch hand Jimmy Hurdstrom on the Paramount Network series, offered his thoughts on the show’s new season starting on Nov. 7.
He took to his Instagram account and within the Stories feature, White offered these words after reposting the official start date. “@yellowstone returns 11/7/21. Can’t wait for you to see it. Best season yet.”
Now that this news is out for the world to see, “Yellowstone” is going to pick up where the Season 3 season finale ended. The Paramount Network show released a trailer showing John Dutton [Kevin Costner] crawling back after being shot. He looks up and sees a crow. A voice also shares a rather interesting-yet-ominous message in the trailer, too.
What does it all mean? Well, “Yellowstone” fans will have to tune in on Nov. 7 for its Season 4 opener.
‘Yellowstone’ Opener Coming To Paramount Network A Little Later
So, the show has been taking longer to get its new season back on the Paramount Network.
People might ask why it was delayed and one obvious answer is that the COVID-19 pandemic set filming schedules back. Additionally, Paramount Network was getting restructured within CBSViacom, too.
“Yellowstone” has been setting the nights on fire with its episodes. When viewers have great expectations for a show like this one, then they are willing to wait. Having a showstopper like Costner in the cast draws people to their TV sets. Fans can expect to have the entire show’s cast that was on board in Season 3 back when it debuts Season 4 in November.
Besides Costner, others on the show include Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, and Kelsey Asbille. Gil Birmingham returns, too.
Show’s Spinoff Prequel Series ‘1883’ Also Gets Starting Date
“Yellowstone” will have a prequel series titled “Yellowstone: 1883” start on Dec. 19. It will feature Sam Elliott in one of the lead roles.
Also, country music superstars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are going to be on the series, too.
For “Yellowstone: 1883,” McGraw and Hill will portray James and Margaret Dutton. The couple will become the historical patriarch and matriarch that began it all for the Duttons out West in America.
“The Duttons are tremendous characters and it’s so thrilling to be able to bring them to life,” McGraw said in a statement. “As a kid growing up riding horses, you think about dream jobs like this and I am just so excited to work with this amazing cast and crew.”
