In a brief scene, we see his wife making paper bag lunches for Mo and his teenage son. When he sees that he got peanut butter and jelly, Mo asks why their son gets the roast beef. The son and Mo exchange lunches before he kisses his wife goodbye and heads off to their barn. The scene becomes decidedly less wholesome from there.
We see Jesse, the “party planner” from the casino who’s connected to the attacks on the Duttons, beaten and tied up. Apparently, the roast beef sandwich is for him. Mo tells him to “eat fast,” and later we see Mo and Chairman Thomas Rainwater deliver the man to John Dutton.
But the official “Yellowstone” Twitter account shared an interesting fact about this homey scene. “Mo’s wife and son are played by his real-life family!” the account live-tweeted during the premiere last night.
We love to see some wholesome family bonding, especially in a rough and tumble show like “Yellowstone.” The bond between the three on-screen makes much more sense now and adds a really great personal touch to the show.
‘Yellowstone’ Star Mo Brings Plenty and Family Love Animals and Wildlife
Mo Brings Plenty has shared brief snippets of his family before on his personal Instagram page. Earlier this year, in June, the actor posted a photo that featured his wife, Sara Ann, their son Jernyce, and a woman named Shelly. Apparently, the trio works together as the “Geese + Duck Rescue A-Team.”
“When I’m not working and am at home, Sara Ann and I spend a considerable amount of time being asked/called out to rescue injured wild animals so they can be rehabilitated and released back into the wild,” the “Yellowstone” actor shared.
“Often, when they can’t, especially with the ducks + geese, they come home with us where they live the rest of their days. The Brings Plenty family is always growing — we love our four-legged and furry family members — the more the merrier!”
The Brings Plenty family certainly has their fair share of four-legged creatures. Mo loves to post pictures of his horses, who he calls his family. He also owns cattle, which he just moved a few weeks after weaning them from their mothers.
It’s no wonder that Mo Brings Plenty’s character rides so well or seems so comfortable on the Dutton Ranch. He’s got a ranch of his own that he takes care of with his wife and son, adding yet another layer of authenticity to the fantastic show.
