‘Yellowstone’ New Season 4 Trailer Gives Look at All-Out Assault on Dutton Ranch

We’ve waited a long time for this, “Yellowstone” fans, but the Season 4 trailer is officially here. And per the trailer, it’s not looking too hot for the Dutton family.

We already knew our favorites were in hot water after the Season 3 finale. John Dutton (Kevin Costner) lay dying and bleeding out on the side of the road. We don’t know if his daughter Beth Dutton survived the explosion that ripped apart her office. And we don’t know how his son Kayce Dutton fared in the firefight happening in his office.

But after summing up those three big events in the first half of the trailer, we see a sneak peek of what lies ahead for the rest of the major “Yellowstone” characters in the upcoming Season 4. See the trailer for yourself below before we dive into what the rest of the video reveals.

Dutton Ranch Under Attack in New ‘Yellowstone’ Trailer

Most importantly, it looks like the Dutton Ranch itself is under attack. Ranch hand Lloyd Pierce (Forrie J. Smith) warns Kayce’s wife Monica and their son Tate to “get to the bunkhouse.” He rushes away with a gun in hand. Later, we see Lloyd suffer a harsh punch to the face at the ranch and fall to the ground.

Later on in the “Yellowstone” trailer, Monica gazes around the ranch in fear. She also looks worriedly around the bunkhouse, before a man in a terrifying clown mask drags her away by her feet. Someone’s coming after all the Duttons, and we can’t be sure who will make it through after the fight’s done.

The rest of the trailer jumps through several suspenseful moments. At one point, Rip Wheeler comes across John’s body on the side of the road, and he hurries over to him. “John, don’t you die on me now,” Rip pleads. “Not like this. You hear me?”

In another moment, John’s adopted son, Jamie Dutton, has a conversation with his biological father, Garrett Randall.

“Fair. Moral. Those are words men invented to scare and shame other men from taking back what they’ve stolen,” says Randall.

“What about right or wrong?” asks Jamie.

“There’s no such thing,” Randall responds.

More violence also seems to come in the new season. At one point, a man in a bar gets stabbed by a switchblade. Several cars also collide in a horrifying accident. Police draw their weapons in broad daylight, pointing them at people laying on the ground with their hands up. They also surround an unknown house in a furtive night attack. We also catch a glimpse of people protesting in the streets, raising signs and their phones to record what’s happening.

There’s certainly plenty of drama and high stakes ahead, “Yellowstone” fans. Maybe there’s hope yet for John and the rest of the Dutton’s, but we’ll have to wait until Nov. 7 to know for sure.
