Hey, somebody tell that kid he’s too young to be smoking cigs. You have your whole life ahead of you, Carter. Make better choices. You know, maybe that’s easier said than done for Finn Little’s character in the upcoming season of “Yellowstone.” The Carter actor shared a photo from Season 4 on Instagram. The picture finds him battered and bruised as he tries to relax with a cigarette.
The frame comes from a recent trailer for “Yellowstone” Season 4. It doesn’t reveal very much about Finn Little’s character, but we have a few details. A young teen, Carter finds a home on the Dutton ranch. But it’s not all sunshine and rainbows, as we can see from the picture. Deadline reported that the character could be similar to a young Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser), who was also taken in by the Duttons.
Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) will presumably be the one who takes the primary responsibility of raising Carter. Finn Little’s character gives her an opportunity for motherhood. Or a type of motherhood, at least. Hopefully, she’s able to help the teen kick his apparent cigarette habit.
Whatever happens, the addition of Carter to Season 4 of “Yellowstone” is something we’re excited to see played out on screen. And it’s not just us. The great majority of fans are intrigued about what his addition means for the show. Little saying things like “Waiting… I don’t know what you will think of Carter… but he will certainly change things up” on Instagram posts only builds anticipation. Is November here yet? We don’t know that we’re going to make it until then.
Fans Weigh In on Finn Little’s ‘Yellowstone’ Character Preview
We know way more about Season 4 as a whole than we do about the Carter character himself. That leaves fans to guess what implications he’s going to have on the story. Short of that, they simply write comments on his Instagram posts.
“Omg if this isn’t the metaphorical child of Beth Dutton idk what is,” one fan wrote, seeing the potential for a connection between Carter and Beth.
“I knew that was you, in the preview I saw tonight. Poor kid, but he looks tough,” a sympathetic “Yellowstone” fan observed.
“My question is did Beth offer you that cigarette or is it yours?” Another added.
Stars of the Show Praise the Leadership of Co-Creator Taylor Sheridan
“He does a great job tethering, being able to do full-circle of not only the characters but what they’re going through. And the journey that they’re on,” said Hauser.
