While John Dutton probably doesn’t actually want to be the governor, he will do anything to keep his adopted son, Jamie Dutton, out of office. It is the ultimate power play by the “Yellowstone” Ranch owner and you can bet there is more drama to come. These sorts of things seem to happen to Jamie quite often and he’s certainly the black sheep of the family. With all that his adopted father and sister, Beth Dutton, have done to him, it is hard for viewers to blame him for being resentful. Judging by the trailer for the next new episode, Jamie may have a trick up his sleeve.
“Yellowstone” fans have plenty to say about last night’s episode and about the abuse suffered by Jamie. While some fans have sympathy for him, other way Jamie is a victim of circumstances of his own creation. It was a point of discussion for many “Yellowstone” viewers who turned to Reddit to express their feelings on the matter.
“Once again, Jamie’s bad decisions come back to haunt him at an inopportune moment,” a fan writes. “It Happens every time. If Jamie tried to read a choose your own adventure book he’d end up on a secret page that says please put the book away and stop reading. His worst skeleton is killing that reporter and covering up the murder. If that story had come out then this whole John for governor thing wouldn’t even be possible. And Jamie would have a clear path to it as a successful former livestock commissioner and AG. I bet now he really wishes he had just let the reporter tell the story.”
‘Yellowstone’ Fans Sound Off on Latest Episode
A lot happened in last night’s brand new episode of “Yellowstone” and it has fans of the show buzzing. But, the escalation in the conflict between John and Jamie Dutton is the biggest takeaway. Some fans believe Jamie will call upon his biological father, Garrett Randall, for help. Remember Randall confessed to the attack on the Dutton family earlier this season. He also tells Jamie that he plans on trying again.
“I also wonder how Jamie can survive when John finds out he’s living with his real father who ordered the hits on the Dutton family,” another Redditor says.
You have to think that the Duttons will eventually find out that it was Randall behind the attacks. What happens then will be a defining moment for “Yellowstone.”
Fans cannot wait to see how this plays because there are so many different directions it could go. Hopefully, we’ll get another piece of the puzzle with the upcoming new episode.
