What Happened During Season 4 Episode 4 of ‘Yellowstone’?
Could it be a coincidence that Thanksgiving is right around the corner as we see the bunkhouse cooking? Shoutout to Teeter for putting in the effort to keep everyone fed and healthy. Even if her lovely meal consists of “sum bits” from the cow.
In our podcast episode, Wes pointed out a key moment when one character said they got an eyeball in their bowl. And yet, didn’t the bunkhouse literally just finish doctoring the cattle for pink-eye? Might not be the best time to have sum bits.
Bur really, the meal is just a plot point to instigate conflict between Walker and Lloyd. Things have been getting heated between the two all season, especially after Walker took Lloyd’s girl. They start beating each other up until Rip steps in and doles out punishment.
But only, as Jim points out, to his best man. Some fans may have forgotten that during “Yellowstone” Season 3, Rip asked Lloyd to be his best man at his wedding. But now, he’s laying into the older ranch hand without mercy. We’ll have to wait until next week to find out how Lloyd’s injuries affect his working ability on the ranch.
Another key interaction took place between Beth Dutton and Caroline Warner this episode. Caroline offers Beth a job. And she promises that if Beth doesn’t take it, Caroline and Market Equities will take her down in numerous lawsuits and investigations.
While we love a good verbal sparring session between Beth and her latest opponent, Jim brought up an interesting point in this week’s Bunkhouse Breakdown. Are Beth’s one-line zingers getting old? How have we seen her character really develop this season so far? The more she just sits and drinks Tito’s, the less authentic her character appears, some say.
And last, but certainly not least, we saw Jamie step into the spotlight on “Yellowstone” Season 4 Episode 4. He took down some lawyers in a small meeting, spent time admiring his new land, and had a heart-to-heart with his brother Kayce. But Jamie also found potential evidence that his biological dad could be involved in the attack on the Duttons. Is Garett Randall the culprit they’ve been looking for?
Stay tuned next week for a new “Yellowstone” episode and podcast episode of “Bunkhouse Breakdown.”
