Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler *finally* tied the knot on Yellowstone, and the ceremony was everything we could have hoped for – minus the white dress, the cake, the music, and the marriage license. But those are just the little things, right?

Honestly, the fact that the ceremony was so simple was a reflection of Rip and Beth’s relationship. Rarely have they ever hid their feelings behind flowery words or grand gestures. Instead, they’ve always been candid and sometimes blunt, but the love was always behind every fight, kiss, and “F– you, I love you.”

Of course, the Yellowstone stars behind the lovestruck characters, Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser, were more excited than anyone for the nuptials. And in the end, the scene won both of their approvals.

“Even as an actor we’re sitting there and we’re trying to put all the things together and connect all the dots and you’re like, ‘This is f**king crazy,’ you know what I mean?” Hauser said of the wedding scene. “[But] it all comes together and there’s actually this beautiful moment there. I thought it was pretty touching in the end.”

As we know, Beth spearheaded the rushed wedding when she believed there was a chance she could wind up behind bars. Hauser believed this was only appropriate, given his co-star’s strong will and unshakeable determination.

“I mean the way it went down was pretty wild,” Hauser told ET in an exclusive interview. “Her storming in and her gold dress, her dad [Kevin Costner as John Dutton] and I looking at her and going, ‘What in the hell is she up to now?’ Then she has a priest that she’s kidnapped. It’s pretty wild!”

‘Yellowstone’ Star Says Wedding Was ‘Just So Typical Beth’

Meanwhile, Yellowstone actress Reilly was just as proud of how the big scene happened. Complete with a kidnapped priest, Reilly believed that the ceremony fit her character better than any wedding dress ever could.

“I love their wedding, and it’s just so typical Beth,” Reilly reflected. “She’s just not interested in having a wedding party or a wedding dress or any of that. All she cares about is being his wife and she knows that… I kind of find her slightly heroic in a really messed up way.”

It’s no secret Beth can be a bit stubborn, and at times, downright scary. But underneath her incredibly thick exterior, she has a heart of gold, and Rip helps bring that side of her out.

“It’s just perfect. “It’s the perfect wedding,” Reilly added. “When I read that, it made me laugh because I knew we were gonna get married this season, but I didn’t know how.”

Now that the moment has finally arrived, the Yellowstone stars couldn’t have been happier with how it turned out.
