‘Yellowstone’ Star Brecken Merrill Wishes His Nanny Happy Birthday With Cool Throwback Image

Among the many breakout stars of the hit Paramount Network series “Yellowstone” is the show’s youngest cast member, Brecken Merrill.

On “Yellowstone,” Brecken Merrill plays the young cowboy in training, Tate Dutton. At just 13-years-old, he is the youngest member of the show’s primary cast. He’s been with the show since the very beginning and we have seen the growth and maturation of Tate Dutton and Brecken Merrill through four seasons. Tate is the son of Kayce and Monica Dutton and the only grandchild of cattle rancher John Dutton. Tate spends his days learning the ways of the “Yellowstone” Ranch as he stands to inherit one day. That is still a ways off though and Tate is your normal and happy kid, learning how the world works. “Yellowstone” fans have enjoyed seeing Tate grow throughout each season and that should continue into future seasons as well.

The same can be said for Brecken Merrill, who has quickly become a favorite of “Yellowstone” fans. Mature beyond his year, Merrill is excellent in his portrayal of Tate Dutton and you can bet Hollywood has taken notice. It would surprise no one to see Merrill continue to get big roles as his acting career is just getting started. Away from the set, Merrill is your typical kid with interesting hobbies. He’s also often active on social media. In his latest social media post, he wishes his Nana a happy 70th birthday.

“Happy 70th to my Nana,” Merrill says in the post. “This is her at 13.”

As you can tell by the photo, Merrill’s resemblance to his Nana is quite striking. Merrill’s sweet birthday wish to his Nana did not go unnoticed by “Yellowstone” fans who shared encouraging words.

‘Yellowstone’ Season Four Finale is Just a Day Away

It doesn’t seem possible but we are a little over 24 hours away from the “Yellowstone” season four finale.

It’s been a pretty crazy season for Brecken Merrill and Tate Dutton and we can’t wait to see how it ends.

In the first episode of season four, Tate is forced to shoot a man that is attacking his mother. He kills the attacker with one blast from his shotgun. The incident, however, has a negative impact on the young man’s mental health. He and his mother board up in a “Yellowstone” Lodge bedroom with Tate seeking refuge underneath the bed. Kayce is able to calm both his son and wife by taking them away from the ranch and to the Broken Rock Tribe’s reservation. There, Tate and Monica reconnect with their Native American roots, and Kayce also seeks out answers.

We’ll find out how this season four storyline concludes with tomorrow’s finale.
