The moment that “Yellowstone” fans have long waited for is finally here as the show’s fourth season will conclude tonight (Sunday).
There is a great deal of mystery surrounding the “Yellowstone” season four finale. We aren’t sure what to expect and there are several storylines that could go a number of ways. “Yellowstone” fans are expecting plenty of twists and turns in the final episode. Of course, the first rule of being a “Yellowstone” fan is to expect the unexpected. It appears that is also the first rule of being a “Yellowstone” cast member. Several actors on the show have shared that they have limited knowledge of the script going forward. While they have a general idea of what is about to happen, they, much like fans, are often shocked by where certain stories are going. In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Jimmy Hurdstrom actor Jefferson White says the cast is often surprised.
“I don’t know anything…and that’s appropriate for Jimmy,” the actor says. “Jimmy has come a long way and still has a ways to go.”
While White is extremely glad to be back for the fourth season, he wasn’t sure that would be the case given Jimmy’s situation.
“Reading the end of that I was like ‘oh boy if anyone is going — Jimmy’s going,'” he says. “I read the finale script and I know that I’m not going to read another script for six months. That means I don’t know if I’m going to have a job or not for six months.”
‘Yellowstone’ Star Says Cast Is Often Caught by Surprise.
White says it isn’t uncommon for “Yellowstone” cast members to contact each other in an effort to know what to expect. If you recall, Jimmy’s last action of season three was to fall off of a bucking horse. He lands face-down in the dirt and the last image we see of him, his eyes are closed. “Yellowstone” fans are left to wonder if poor Jimmy is dead or alive heading into season four. White confesses he was also curious about whether his character would make it or not.
Jimmy did end up making it and he’s had a very interesting season four so far. After John Dutton sends him off to the Four Sixes Ranch in Texas, Jimmy learns how to be a real cowboy. His training is now complete and he will be allowed to work a the “Yellowstone” Ranch once more.
But there are other considerations — such as his new girlfriend, Emily. Jimmy doesn’t want to leave Emily, but feels he owes it to John Dutton to return, Returning to the “Yellowstone” Ranch likely means he runs into Mia, which will only complicate matters.
What will Jimmy do with two women fighting for his love? We hope to find out tonight with the season finale.
