Yellowstone actress Kelsey Asbille glowingly recounts her favorite moments from filming – and like the rest of us – she’s a huge Kevin Costner fan.

The answer comes as Asbille speaks on her recent work in two huge hits: Fargo – and of course – Yellowstone. Fans of the show are eager to see what the future brings for her character, Monica Dutton. Monica is a Native American born within the lands of the Dutton Ranch. Now, she’s married to one of the Dutton boys, Kayce.

A key part of Monica’s role in the show has been centered around the character’s heritage, which Asbille has acknowledged as an enticing part of taking on the show.
As such, the duality of Monica’s development has been incredibly interesting to watch develop over the first three seasons. As she becomes increasingly torn between her Native American upbringing on the reservation and her love of the Duttons – where will Monica’s loyalties land?
Yet even this isn’t what has the actress head over heels for the show. Phenomenal character traits & plot lines aside, Asbille is now on record fawning over something else entirely.
As one of the hosts asks her if she has “any pinch-me moments working on both of these franchises” – the actress absolutely lights up.
“Last season, on Yellowstone, we were shooting out on this beautiful land in Utah. Beautiful land – having a campfire. And Kevin Costner is telling a story under the stars… those are always “pinch me” moments. Like – what am I doing!? I can’t believe this is my job [laughs]. There’s a lot of pinch me moments, and it’s a master-class on both shows, really.”
