As “Yellowstone” fans eagerly await the start of season four, Kevin Costner is giving his fans something else to look forward to as well.

The Hollywood actor also has his very own band called Kevin Costner & Modern West. The group is a country-rock band that has been together since 2007. Along the way, the group has put on some pretty stellar performances.

They performed shows in places like Rome and Istanbul. They even did a show at the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races at the Daytona International Speedway and Lowe’s Motor Speedway. The band consists of John Coinman, Park Chisholm, Teddy Morgan, and Blair Forward.

Now, “Yellowstone” fans in Texas will get a chance to hear the actor rock out on stage. It’s a welcome sight to see. Live music was put on hold due to COVID-19 for the last year. Fans and artists are eager to get back out there.

According to CBS 19, Kevin Costner & Modern West will be performing two shows in Texas. One of which will be in Piney Woods. This event will be Friday, August 27 at 7:30 p.m. at the Crockett Civic Center.

The tickets will be $75 or $100 for the concert.

It looks like the group is also booked for a performance at the Brownstone Center for the Arts in Poplarville, Mississippi. Tickets for this event go on sale on July 11. The floor tickets are $50 and the balcony tickets are $40.

‘Tales from Yellowstone’

Kevin Costner & Modern West also released an album for the show called “Tales from Yellowstone.”

It’s a 16-track album that does an amazing job of detailing exactly what goes down on the Dutton ranch. The album combines aspects of the show with the moods of the characters. It also incorporates some of his overall feelings while filming.

“It’s really a concept record. Sometimes there are songs that aren’t really necessarily about John Dutton. I have my own muse when I’m away from home, for when I’m making a movie, and there are songs that kind of blend in and also complement what’s happening,” Kevin Costner said in an interview with American Songwriter from 2020.

The album includes a song about his father, for instance. It’s “Feeling Like the Last Time.” It’s about him saying goodbye to his dad at the airport after a hunting trip together. It was the last time he saw his dad and had felt like it would be at that moment.

This isn’t the first time he’s let music and acting, two of his greatest passions, meld together. In 2012, the group released the album “Famous for Killing Each Other: Music from and Inspired by Hatfields & McCoys.” The album was inspired by Costner’s Emmy-winning work on the TV show “Hatfields & McCoys” as “Devil” Anse Hatfield.
