‘Yellowstone’ Star Kevin Costner Posts Sneak Peek of Setlist for Nebraska State Fair Concert

by Matthew Memrick

With just a little taste, “Yellowstone” star Kevin Costner and his band told Nebraska State fairgoers what songs they had lined up for Thursday.

The band likely opened with “Long Hot Night” and “Red River.” Some were happy to see “Moon So High” on the setlist, while others just wanted the star to come to their town.

The band was in town as part of its Tales From Yellowstone mini-tour.

On Tuesday, Nebraska Fair organizers moved the band indoors with the threat of rain.

After Nebraska, the band plays two more stops, finishing in Decatur, Ill. on Sept. 4.

Costner Gets Hyped About ‘Yellowstone’ Season

The actor recently was quick to share the love for his show’s new season.

“I don’t know if you’re ready for this one,” Costner captions the trailer reveal on his official Instagram. His single choice was the hashtag “#everybodypays,” which fit the bill for all the talk that goes with the clip.

The actor has been there from the beginning with Taylor Sheridan’s Paramount Network show.

Costner said he originally signed up to do one season because he had issues with the plot. But he’s grown into the John Dutton role to the delight of “Yellowstone” fans.

‘Yellowstone’ Star Costner Behind Apollo 11 Project

According to Deadline, “Yellowstone” star Kevin Costner will executive produce “One Giant Leap,” a story about the moon landing.

According to the show’s summary, the limited TV series will look at one of the most historic events in American history, but from a different angle. The series hopes to delve into the personalties with the flight team that almost sank the mission before it went into orbit.

The show will also take a hard look at astronaut and enigmatic legend Buzz Aldrin. Additionally, the “Space Race” will get some attention as the Soviet Union’s attempt to destroy Apollo 11 will come into focus. Finally, the post mission’s triumph and the unity of the world take the stage.

The production’s next step will be finding actors to play the astronauts and principal cast.

There’s no word on if the “Yellowstone” star will have a narrating role or now.

‘Yellowstone’ Star’s ‘Tin Cup’ Film A Milestone

Costner’s golf flick, “Tin Cup,” recently turned 25 years ago.

Costner played Roy “Tin Cup” McAvoy, the main character in the compelling 1996 romantic comedy. Many still have it high on their golf movie lists.

For Costner, the film’s plot about redemption could be adapted in real life to his career at that point. After making blockbusters with “Bull Durham” and “Dances With Wolves,” he started to struggle with “Waterworld” and “The War.” Costner rejoined “Bull Durham” director Ron Shelton for the film.

“Tin Cup” opened at No. 1 that year in the box office and went on to rake in $75 million.
