We met Summer last week on the show, where she started a protest about industrialized farming. John initially had her arrested, but he eventually paid her bail so he could show her a bit about his life on the ranch. It’ll be interesting to see those two share differing opinions, but the main conflict on tonight’s episode won’t be between Summer and John.
It looks like she’ll be meeting Beth on “Yellowstone” tonight. And Piper Perabo, who plays Summer, has one piece of advice for her character.
“If there was any advice I could give to Summer, it would be to stay away from Beth Dutton,” Perabo told Screenrant in a recent interview. “But Summer hasn’t seen all three seasons previous of Yellowstone, so she doesn’t know that. All she knows is that’s John’s daughter.”
Perabo added, “There’s really no way to help Summer now. She’s in it, and she doesn’t know what she’s up against.” No, she really doesn’t.
Seasoned “Yellowstone” fans would tell Summer that Beth has no filter, will be brutally honest and that she relishes ruining people. All for the good of the ranch, of course, but also because that’s just the kind of person she is. We don’t know yet how tough of a skin Summer has, but little will prepare her for meeting Beth Dutton.
And especially once Beth finds out why Summer’s there. I can already hear Beth bringing up their “man-to-man” talk about Beth finding John a girlfriend. She’s bound to say something about how this wasn’t what she had in mind. But will her remarks be enough to drive Summer away for good? We’ll have to wait and see.
Rip and Jamie Face Tough Choices in Tonight’s Episode of ‘Yellowstone’
Based on a recent preview for tonight’s “Yellowstone” episode, we can already tell it’ll be chock full of action and hard decisions.
Jamie will confront his father about possibly ordering the attack on the Duttons. But now his baby and ex-girlfriend have entered the picture, becoming leverage Garrett Randall can use against Jamie. And from the looks of the preview, it seems like Garrett might know the truth about the journalist Jamie murdered in Season 2 as well.
And then we have Rip, who has to do some kind of job that makes him feel conflicted. It looks like the tension between Lloyd and Walker will finally boil over, so does that mean Rip has to take one of them to the train station? And if so, who?
The wait is killing me, Outsiders. Stay tuned for more info on tonight’s episode.
