Yellowstone is celebrating Jimmy actor Jefferson White’s birthday today with an epic, custom-cut trailer simply titled: JIMMY.
“You gotta be kidding me, Jimmy. You risked your life for a f–kin’ belt buckle?” So cursed Rip Wheeler to troubled ranch hand Jimmy on televisions top drama, Yellowstone. Fans of the show know Jimmy has lived a rough life – to put it plainly. The young country boy is a convicted felon twice over and is as plagued by his own bad decisions as he is by horrible luck.
Jimmy has, however, found a family in the fellow ranch hands of Yellowstone. While they have been immensely hard on him, Jimmy has come to earn at least a shred of their respect. With Rip Wheeler, too, he’s even gained somewhat of a surrogate father. Or twisted uncle, at least.
Some of the show’s best plotlines come from the dichotomy of the blue-collar ranch hands when pitted against the well-off Duttons. Jimmy has been at the core of this struggle many times. And it’s all highlighted in a brilliant mock-trailer from Paramount.
Celebrating Jimmy actor Jefferson White’s birthday, Paramount Network has put together a convincing – and honestly moving – trailer highlighting Jimmy’s journey on the show. As a result, we’re given a trailer for a film we wish would genuinely hit theaters.
“It’s @_JeffersonWhite‘s birthday, and the “Jimmy” trailer is the best way to celebrate,” the official Yellowstone Twitter announces. “Happy Birthday, Jefferson!”
Yellowstone Mock Trailer Highlights Fan Favorites
Heavily featured within the trailer are other fan favorites Lloyd and, as mentioned, Rip Wheeler. And Yellowstone fans need no introduction for either. Played by Forrie J. Smith and Cole Hauser, these two men have become pillars that hold up Jimmy amidst his struggles. And by learning from Smith & Lloyd, both Jimmy and actor White are gaining real-life ranch handing experience.
As TV’s top drama, Yellowstone has innumerable strengths. Their top merit, however, is authenticity. The show’s creator, Taylor Sheridan, works tirelessly to make the show realistic. Within, Forrie J. Smith has a leg up on his acting friends like Cole Hauser.
Smith is known to Yellowstone audiences simply as Lloyd, our favorite ranch hand. If you think he’s perfect for the role – it’s because he’s a real-life cowboy. A long-time Hollywood stunt man and actor, Yellowstone is Smith’s first big break as a series regular.
As much as we love this authentic cast – they seem to love each other just as much. We can’t wait to see where all their lives lead in Season 4 in 2021. Keep your eyes on Outsider.com for the official release date.
