“Yellowstone” star Cole Hauser promises a different Rip Wheeler for Season Four. After the bombshell cliffhanger at the end of Season Three, everyone’s favorite ranch hand will be on a warpath.

Hauser teased the twists and turns of the upcoming season in an Instagram post. He said he was excited to be reunited with the rest of his “Yellowstone” castmates.

“I just knew that this was going to be special. Then when Kevin came on, and Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley and Luke Grimes – the cast started to fall together beautifully,” Hauser said.

Over the past three seasons, audiences have watched Wheeler form a will-they-won’t-they relationship with Beth Dutton on the show. During Season Three, the couple is stronger than ever. But a moment of violence threatens to ruin that happiness and set Wheeler down a darker path potentially. There have been some rumors that Wheeler might not make it to Season Five. Whether that’s true or not remains to be seen.

“I’ve had the opportunity with Rip to be able to see him grow. And talk to Taylor about the growth of the character over the years,” Hauser said. “In season 4 coming up, it’s more of that, more of seeing Rip evolve.”

Cole Hauser Loves The Outdoors

Recently, Hauser featured in People’s Sexiest Man Alive issue. Like his character, Hauser loves the outdoors and horseback riding. Hauser said riding horses has been a great source of exercise when preparing to step back into Wheeler’s boots.

“Horseback riding at a very high level is a hell of a workout for the core, back, and legs, you name it. Riding and roping and cutting, all the different disciplines we do on the show, it’ll keep you in shape,” Hauser said. “That first initial, when you come back to work on the show, you’re sore for a week, and then you kind of power through.”

Sometimes he’ll also take moments to relax while on set. For instance, he loves to sit and watch the sunrise over the mountains.

“My favorite time of day is sunset and sunrise. Especially up here,” he told People. “I don’t know if you can see these mountains behind us, but the sun basically comes right over this and over the Yellowstone ranch. And it goes right behind these mountains here into Trapper Peak. And it’s just to die for. I mean, the magic hour here is just stunning.”
