“Yellowstone” star Cole Hauser shared some profound thoughts on life in an Instagram post promoting the upcoming back-to-back “Yellowstone” marathon and TV premiere of his movie “The Last Champion.”
“Tune in to the @thelastchampionfilm,” Hauser posted to Instagram Friday. “I very proud of this story of redemption, love and life. ‘Only if you have been in the deepest of valleys. Do you know how magnificent it is on the highest of peaks.’”
‘Yellowstone’ Marathon Follows News of Season 4 Premiere
The “Yellowstone” Independence Day weekend marathon kicks off at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday, July 3 with all of Season 1. Season 2 of “Yellowstone” will air at 12 p.m. ET on Sunday, July 4. And Season 3 will start at 12 p.m. ET Monday, July 5. Following that on the Paramount Network is the broadcast premiere of Hauser’s “The Last Champion” on Monday at 10 p.m. ET.
The marathon follows the news, recently reported by Deadline, that the network is eyeing an early November premiere date for “Yellowstone.”
Their reasoning is reportedly twofold. One, November is the usual launch corridor for returning prestige and must-see shows. And two, that will allow the network to cross-promote “Yellowstone” on CBS’s NFL broadcasts.
The new season will bring some new additions – among them the CEO of Market Equities, played by Jacki Weaver, a Portland protester, played by Piper Perabo, and a boy who Deadline says is reminiscent of a young Rip, played by Finn Little, who will become a series regular.
Season 4 Teaser Promises ‘Revenge Will Be Worth the Wait’
“Yellowstone” recently released the trailer for Season 4. Clocking in at 1 minute, the trailer offers only a brief glimpse of a scene from the actual new season. But in bold text, the trailer promises, “Revenge will be worth the wait.”
As we reach the end of a montage of clips from the previous seasons, we see Rip’s (Cole Hauser) boots descending from his truck and running over to John Dutton (Kevin Costner), who has collapsed by the side of the road.
“John, don’t you die on me now,” Rip says. “Not like this. You hear me?”
Fans have been speculating about what sort of payback the Duttons will exact for the series of lethal attacks that targeted John, Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) at the end of Season 3. Of course, first they’ll have to figure out who’s responsible.
At Deadline’s Contenders Television event this May, Hauser conceded that Rip can be a deadly force, and he will likely be seeking revenge after the attacks on the Dutton family, including on Rip’s fiancée Beth.
“Everybody’s in danger in Montana after that,” Hauser quipped.
