Season 3 of “Yellowstone” ended on an epic cliffhanger. And with the anticipated Season 4 premiere date having passed with no premiere and no announcement, fans are starting to get antsy.
Luckily for “Yellowstone” diehards, along comes Roarke actor Josh Holloway with a hint about what fans can expect in Season 4. He’s not giving away much, but the coy clue is more of a spoiler than fans have been able to glean so far.
When “Yellowstone” left off, John Dutton (Kevin Costner) and Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) had just joined forces with Chief Thomas Rainwater (Gil Birmingham) and Angela Blue Thunder (Q’orianka Kilcher) to face off against Market Equities (led by Roarke), Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley) and Governor Perry (Wendy Moniz-Grillo). No sooner had they vowed to save the ranch from Market Equities’ encroachment than John encountered a drive-by shooting and Beth disappeared into a cloud of smoke and flames as a bomb went off in her office.
Fans have been dying to know if their favorite “Yellowstone” characters survived, and fiercely debating who was likely behind the attacks. Will Roarke turn out to be a nastier villain than he had been throughout Season 3, when he was mostly a cheerful annoyance to Beth? Or was Jamie or someone else behind those lethal season finale attacks?
‘Yellowstone’ Actor Hints at Season 4 Fate
In a recent interview with Esquire, Holloway assured fans that Roarke is in for some payback in Season 4. Which suggests that his character’s vow to treat the Dutton situation “like an oil deal in Yemen” was not just an empty threat and that Roarke may have had a hand in the attacks. Could Roarke find himself on the receiving end of Rip’s (Cole Hauser) wrath next season?
“Did I blow her up?” Holloway asked rhetorically of Beth’s character on “Yellowstone.” “I will not answer that, but I will tell you Roarke is going to get his. He should have been more concerned with conservation. We’ll see what happens to him. But Beth is awesome. What a great character. I wish I could tell you, but I can’t tell you who or what did that situation, but you will find out. And like I said, yeah… Roarke’s going to get his. No worries.”
Sounds like the chipper hedge fund manager has a dark side. But it’s apparently no match for the Dutton ranch’s crew. Fans will be waiting anxiously for the Season 4 premiere of “Yellowstone,” whenever it may happen.
