‘Yellowstone’ TV: Everything to Know About ‘Mia’ Actress Eden Brolin

Eden Brolin comes in hot on the “Yellowstone” scene as the barrel racer, Mia. Her long brown hair and bold personality immediately draw fans in and also captivates the love interest of Jimmy Hurdstrom (Jefferson White).

Mia immediately starts making more appearances in season three of the hit western drama. Her storyline grows from rodeo participant to Jimmy’s girlfriend and even road trip companion.

But what do we really know about Eden Brolin? Get to know the actress that plays the barrel racer on the Paramount Network series.

Eden Brolin Hails From an Acting Family

The 27-year-old is the daughter of famous actors Josh Brolin and Alice Adair. Her father has been in many feature films. Some of his most famous works are the “Avengers” franchise, “Everest,” “Deadpool 2,” “Sin City,” “True Grit,” and “W.”

Brolin’s mother is known for portraying Jan Bogomil in “Beverly Hills Cop II.”

Eden made her acting debut in the short film “X” in 2008. Then from there she started booking bigger roles.

What Brolin is Best Known For

Eden Brolin has established herself in the acting world all on her own even before “Yellowstone.” She is known for her role as Charlie Singer on Freeform’s “Beyond,” and Susan Atkins in the Lifetime movie “Manson’s Lost Girls.”

But perhaps her recent role as Johanna in the 2020 crime thriller “Arkansas” launched her to the next level. She stars alongside Vince Vaughn, Liam Hemsworth, and Clark Duke. The film is about two low-level drug runners on the Dixie Mafia who follow the orders of an Arkansas-based drug kingpin.

Brolin Is in a Band

Not only can the generational star act, but she also holds her own in a band. Brolin is the only female in the alternative indie-rock band Atta Boy.

Atta Boy is made up of high school friends. As a matter of fact, Brolin is the lead singer. The group’s first album Out of Sorts was released in 2012.

“[For our first album] we weren’t very emotionally mature,” says Brolin during an interview with Audio Femme, citing all the growing up the band did following the first album is a major creative driver of this new LP. “There was something about that flip-flop and taking risks in either direction and seeing the growth in something even though you put it down for a while.”

Their sophomore album titled Big Heart Manners was released this past year.

Eden Brolin on Her ‘Yellowstone’ Role

Brolin was a fan of the mafia-style, western drama before she was cast in her role as Mia, the barrel racer.

“Oh, man, I loved Yellowstone before I got to be on it. I had been watching it with my fiancé, and we were a little obsessed with it. So getting to come on the show was exciting, to say the least. I’ll never forget the first time I got to see the exterior of the Yellowstone barn and be like, ‘Oh my God, here I am.’ So it was really cool. It was very cool,” she tells TV Fanatic.

Brolin looks like a natural when she’s on horseback. However, she explains that she hasn’t been a consistent equestrian contrary to belief.

“I’ve gotten to ride a little bit throughout my life, but really inconsistently,” she explains. “So it’s been, coming onto this show has just been a whole new ball game as far as riding goes just because it’s been a lot more concentrated.”

What’s Next for Eden

Brolin has been working on a few films in between filming “Yellowstone.” According to IMDB, Brolin is starring alongside Luke Wilson and Lynda Carter in “The Cleaner.”

Additionally, two movies associated with Brolin’s name are in post-production, “Tyger Tyger” and “Montauk.”
