‘Yellowstone’ TV: Fans Spot Huge Plot Hole in Ranch’s Transportation

by Kayla Zadel

As we wait for the highly-anticipated release of the fourth installment of the western drama “Yellowstone,” fans are binging the first three seasons in waiting. This has them pointing out a very interesting aspect of the show that’s not glaringly obvious, until now.

There’s a whole Reddit thread dedicated to the cleanliness of the Dutton family’s transportation, Express shares. No, we’re not talking about the horses, but rather the RAM trucks.

Even though the off-road vehicles are used quite often on the ranch that includes rocky terrain, the RAM trucks always appear to be clean, like they just pulled them off the car sales lot.

User ElliotReidsBajingo posts: “I only want ONE thing from season 4 and it isn’t even close to what you’re imagining/thinking of.”

Our minds immediately go to wanting all the main characters to come back for season four. Spoiler alert: the Dutton family was targeted in violent attacks leaving viewers wondering if they’re dead or alive.

ElliotReidsBajingo continues: “I just want ONE scene where one of the Yellowstone pickups or SUVs isn’t sparkling clean, but splattered with mud and dirt and with a zillion bugs smushed on the front grille.”

Finally, the desperate fan pleaded: “IS THAT REALLY TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR???!!!”

We see a lot of “dirty work” is done, both literally and figuratively on the hit show. However, the muddy messes are never reflected on their trucks.

Fans Speculate about Product Placement on ‘Yellowstone’

The RAM trucks are in nearly every episode. Whether it’s John Dutton driving his RAM Heavy Duty 3500 Laramie Crew Cab to town, or Rip Wheeler hauling a horse, we see the black trucks with the Yellowstone logo on the door frequently. After all, a truck is close to being man’s best friend.

However, some viewers are thinking that there’s a reason behind the trucks being featured so often. Plus they also offer a suggestion on why they’re always so squeaky clean.

One fan explained: “99.78653% sure Ram is a sponsor so they want them trucks looking dazzling, yo.”

If you’re paying close attention to the cuts between scenes, you’ll often see the RAM truck logo being featured. Furthermore, if we do a little more digging, RAM Trucks sponsors the “Yellowstone: Stories From the Bunkhouse Series” on Twitter.

It’s not out of the ordinary for products to be placed and featured in TV shows and even movies. Take the Omega Watch that is synonymous with the James Bond franchise.

Another fan argued: “I would love to see one ranch truck that looks more than a year or two old. No wonder Dutton has cash flow problems if he’s buying new duallys every year for the entire ranch.”

Even the four-wheelers and Polaris Ranger is pretty clean for traversing the backroads of the massive Yellowstone Ranch.

We get the point to shine up your wheels with Tire Shine from time to time and give the ol’ pick-up a bath every once in a while, but maybe show creator Taylor Sheridan needs to include a reason for the underlying cleanliness.
