While an exact date is still waiting to be locked down, we can take our best guess at when “Yellowstone” will grace us with a season four premiere.
However, for the time being, the vague teasing will continue.
Father’s Day And ‘Yellowstone’?
If our theories are correct, then I’m sorry, summer, and I’m sorry Dad, but this day is more important. “Yellowstone” season four premiere should officially happen on Father’s Day weekend. Regardless, we are confident it will be a good weekend altogether.
If we were betting people, in our best Outsider, expert opinion, we would put our money on Sunday, June 20th. That is both a Sunday and Father’s Day, two guidelines the other premieres have followed.
Mark your calendars. Cancel your plans. Take off work. Fake sick. Whatever you have to do to make sure nothing interferes with your “Yellowstone” day. Heck, we may just throw a party. You can only gain entry if you are wearing a cowboy hat.
According to Matt & Jess, the only reason anyone can think of why the show wouldn’t air this late in June is due to the Olympics, which occur in late July. This way, the series could get a whole season of “Yellowstone” in with their fans uninterrupted.
No, we also cannot grace you with a trailer or any teasers at this time, but this could be due to strategy on the part of “Yellowstone” creators. Since there are so many question marks as to the health status of the four main characters, showing them could give us the hints we need to confirm or deny their deaths.
According to Cinema Blend, fans are also waiting for the premiere of the prequel spinoff, Y:1883. DOUBLE THE “YELLOWSTONE.” The only hint we have thus far about the release date is sometime this year. With seven months left in the year, that doesn’t exactly narrow anything down for us just yet.
The Cheat Sheet gave us a brief synopsis of what to expect for the “Yellowstone” prequel.
“‘Y: 1883‘ follows the Dutton family as they embark on a journey west through the Great Plains toward the last bastion of untamed America. It is a stark retelling of Western expansion and an intense study of one family fleeing poverty to seek a better future in America’s promised land — Montana.”
Additionally, fans can expect another spinoff series about a ranch in West Texas called “6666.” TRIPLE THE “YELLOWSTONE.” Like the other two series, an exact release date is still up in the air for excited fans, however, the show does not follow the lives of the Dutton family.
This is what we know so far about the 6666 Texas cowboy ranch.
“Founded when Comanches still ruled West Texas, no ranch in America is more steeped in the history of the West than the 6666. Still operating as it did two centuries before and encompassing an entire county, the 6666 is where the rule of law and the laws of nature merge in a place where the most dangerous thing one does is the next thing. The 6666 is synonymous with the merciless endeavor to raise the finest horses and livestock in the world, and ultimately where world-class cowboys are born and made.”
So, basically, the show is just like “Yellowstone,” but more cowboys and less drama? Heck, if Taylor Sheridan made it and there are even more cowboys features, we are here for it.
