“Yellowstone’s” fourth season didn’t debut on Father’s Day, as fans hoped, and now a few are ticked.
You don’t need to air your grievance out to me; I’m right there with you. When the heck can we expect “Yellowstone” season four?
We did the research. We timed it out and calculated the past dates. What went wrong? Oh yeah, “Yellowstone’ failed us. They got our hopes up… kind of, and they let us down.
However, in the series defense, they never gave any indication besides previous release dates that the new season would debut on Father’s Day. In fact, there has been no word from the actors, producers, or the show at all. Instead, it’s been absolute radio silence.
So, what does this mean for excited fans? Well, we are just going to have to keep waiting…waiting for a sign, a mirage in the distance…any indication of hope. Just something that means we aren’t just bored, obsessive viewers and new-found cowboy fanatics.
The previous seasons have aired on Father’s Day, but unfortunately, the same cannot be said for season four.
At the moment, we can’t even be sure that the “Yellowstone” premiere date will be in June. What we know right now is that sometime in 2021, fans will find out what happens to Beth, Kayce, and John Dutton, as well as Jimmy Hurdstrom.
‘Yellowstone’ Fans Blame the Olympics
Many fans are questioning if “Yellowstone” had to re-shoot a few scenes, and that is what is causing the delay. However, with various social media accounts suggesting that filming was wrapped up in mid-June, why haven’t we seen anything yet.
Could the upcoming Tokyo Olympics from July 23 until August 8 be the holdup?
“Shooting/re-shooting one scene shouldn’t hold up the whole series unless it’s supposed to appear in the first episode. But, still, if the rest of the episode has finished shooting and everything’s been edited with only this protest scene to be added, then it still shouldn’t take that long to have it ready to air. I still think the Olympics is a lame excuse for the delay.”
According to Reddit, the general consensus seems to point the fingers at the Olympics. However, this fan says that the pandemic is the reason, with the Olympics most likely taking the blame.
“Because of Covid, they got a late start to filming. I would think they would have filmed all the scenes needed for the first couple of episodes first because they knew filming would run into the Montana winter. I think the Olympics is the excuse they will use for the delay. However, I don’t think it is the cause of the delay. It is just a nice convenient excuse they will use. It also doesn’t explain the silence. If it is because of the Olympics, why don’t they just go ahead and announce the date? Or even say, “Coming August 2021.”
An interesting theory, but at this point, the waiting game is becoming too much for my fragile mental capacity to bear. JUST SEND US A SIGN, “YELLOWSTONE!”
