‘Yellowstone’ TV Star Brecken Merrill is ‘Missing Montana’ with Gorgeous Earth Day Photo

by Quentin Blount

The youngest Yellowstone star took to social media on Thursday evening to share a beautiful photo and message with his fans.

We all know and love the young actor Brecken Merrill for his role on Yellowstone. Merrill plays the defiant and curious Tate Dutton in the hit Paramount Network TV show. In the series, Tate is the only son of Casey and Monica. And, of course, he is the grandson of Kevin Costner’s character, John Dutton.

In honor of Earth Day this year, Brecken Merrill shared a beautiful Montana photo. It sounds like the young actor is missing being on set with his acting family. Not long ago, the cast and crew for Yellowstone finished up filming season four. Fans are told to expect the show’s newest season sometime in June 2021 on Paramount Network.

In addition to the pretty Montana snap, Merrill asks his fans how they plan to help out our planet today. He says that he and his family already have a plan in place.

“Missing Montana on this beautiful Earth Day,” Merrill wrote alongside the gorgeous image. “What is one thing you do to help heal our planet? Our house has limited our use of plastic bags, opting instead for reusable silicone.”

‘Yellowstone’ Actor Will Turn 13 in June

There is no question that Brecken Merrill is wise for being just 12 years old. After all, he does have Kevin Costner to look up to on a daily basis while filming. But the youngster is not far off from hitting his teenage years. In fact, Merrill will turn 13 years old on June 20 this summer.

While we will probably always recognize him as the curious little Tate Dutton, he continues to grow up right before our very eyes. And depending on how many seasons Yellowstone continues to air, there is no telling just how much we’ll see him grow up.

Similar to his character in Yellowstone, Merrill is not shy when it comes to sharing updates on social media. Despite just going on 13 years old, the little man already has a following of more than 21,000 people on Instagram. He regularly posts updates from his life as well as updates from his time on the set of Yellowstone.

So although the young actor is missing Montana and his acting family, he will surely be getting some birthday texts and calls from them in a little less than a month.
