While fans are jonesing for more of the hit Paramount Network series “Yellowstone,” the show’s cast is enjoying a little downtime.
“Yellowstone” actors must cling to their precious free time as much as possible as filming for a new season is ready to rev up. The upcoming brand new season, the show’s fourth, has been filmed and will be ready to go this fall. Filming for the fifth season should be kicking into high gear sooner rather than later. Then there are the two “Yellowstone” spinoffs that have already begun or will soon begin filming. Filming for prequel “1883” is believed to already be underway in Fort Worth, Texas, and “6666” isn’t far behind. In other words, it is a busy time for actors and crew inside the “Yellowstone” universe and time is of the essence.
Several “Yellowstone” stars are using social media to keep the show’s massive fan base engaged. Actors like Cole Hauser, Jefferson White and Kelly Reilly have shared their adventures with their fans. Brecken Merrill, the show’s youngest cast member, also uses social media to interact with fans. Earlier in the offseason, Merrill, who plays Tate Dutton on the show, took up a rather unusual hobby. Owl Pellet dissection may not be your idea of a good time, but Merril seems to enjoy himself while investigating “owl barf” earlier this year. Merrill’s latest activity seems quite a bit more practical. He recently shared a few photos that show engaging in martial arts activities. By the looks of it, no one is going to want to mess with Tate Dutton in the future.

Along with the post, Merrill includes seven photos that show him practicing his latest moves. Several “Yellowstone” fans use the comments section of the post to compliment him on his form and natural ability. he certainly seems to be enjoying himself as he dons boxing gloves and other gear. A few fans with experience in martial arts note that his spinning heel kick is on point.
“Wow, the height of your kick is impressive, and your eyes are always on your target,” a fan writes in the comments. “You are doing fantastic!!”
“Way to go, Brecken!” another social media user says. “Knowing self-defense is a great thing to have. Your form looks great and the height on your kick is excellent.”
With the fourth season of Yellowstone rapidly approaching, fans are anxious to see what is in store for Brecken and Tate. The previous season ends with several of his family members under attack. It is sure to affect him in some way and he may be forced to grow up faster than he is ready.
