White plays the quirky but lovable ranch hand Jimmy Hurdstrom on the hit Paramount Network series “Yellowstone.” Jimmy was introduced to watchers in the first episode of the modern western drama series. Ever since then, White has turned the rookie cowboy into a favorite among the show’s fans. When we first meet Jimmy, he’s inside his mobile home, rocking out to “Judith” by A Perfect Circle. Rip Wheeler shows up at his door with a “Yellowstone” branding iron and from there, Jimmy’s adventure on the ranch begins.
On Thursday, Jefferson took a break in order to engage his social media followers and fans. In the Instagram post, he says he is happy to be “back in the studio” working on a project.
“Very grateful to be back in the studio with Coty Tarr,” he says in the social media post’s caption.
“Yellowstone” fans were quick to notice the post and compliment Jefferson White on his new look. Other social media users used the comments section to tell White how excited they are for his return on their favorite show.
‘Yellowstone’ Will Return This Fall
“Yellowstone” is set to make its triumphant return later this year in the fall. The level of excitement for season four seems to be growing by the day with the show’s massive fan base. Jefferson White provides one of the most interesting storylines on “Yellowstone” with his portrayal of Jimmy.
The young ranch hand turns from a life of drugs and crime to join the ranch upon the “invitation” of Rip Wheeler. Jimmy shows up to Yellowstone one morning with no idea of what he is about to get into. The poor guy doesn’t even know how to ride a horse, which you would is a prerequisite to working on a ranch. Rip gives him a crash course by duct-taping him to a bucking bronco in one of the show’s most memorable scenes.
“Pull back on the reins to stop,” Rip says to Jimmy as he mounts his first horse. “Kick him in the belly to go.”
After initially being an outsider on the “Yellowstone” ranch, Jimmy comes to win over the bunkhouse crew with his willingness to try hard. We also see Jimmy take up the rodeo where he meets “buckle bunny” Mia and the two form a relationship.
Fans are hoping to see more of Jimmy in the upcoming fourth season but that is hardly a given. His status is left up in the air at the end of season three as he could be dead or alive. We last see Jimmy lying face down in the dirt with his eyes closed after falling from a bucking horse.
