Among the many rising stars on the hit Paramount Network series “Yellowstone” is youngster Brecken Merrill, who is quickly shooting up the ranks.
At 13 years of age, Brecken is the youngest regular cast member of the “Yellowstone” crew. He plays the young and curious cowboy in training, Tate Dutton, on the hit show. Merrill’s adorable character has become a favorite among the show’s massive fan base. Tate is the son of Kayce and Monica Dutton and the grandson of Yellowstone Ranch owner John Dutton. The youngest Dutton spends most of his days hanging out with the cowboys and ranch hands. His grandfather is introducing him to the ranching lifestyle at a young age with hopes that he might someday takeover Yellowstone Ranch. A typical youth, Tate is curious about the ranch and the world around him. Much like his father, he doesn’t go looking for trouble, but trouble often finds him.
Away from the “Yellowstone” set, Brecken Merrill is your normal pre-teen with some interesting choices in hobbies. Earlier this year, he took up owl pellet dissection as his latest hobby. Merrill is also active on social media, using it as a medium to interact with his fans and followers. In one of his most recent social media posts, the “Yellowstone” star is getting into the Halloween spirit with a costume suggestion. He has a great idea for a father and son costume combination and he shares it on his Instagram page.
“The only prop missing from Good House Keeping’s Halloween costume suggestion is a donut!” he writes in the caption.
‘Yellowstone’ Costume Idea Could be Popular
The post from Good House Keeping’s site suggests “Yellowstone” fans create their own Tate Dutton costume. It also lists the items you need to make up the Halloween costume. On the list are a hooded jacket, kid’s work gloves, kid’s cowboy boots and, of course, a cowboy hat. The post also says dressing as the “Yellowstone” father and son combo would make them the hit of the costume part.
“Here’s a cute option for any father-son duos out there,” the article says. “You can go as Kayce or John Dutton and your little guy can dress as Tate Dutton, Kayce’s son and John’s only grandson.”
As you might expect, “Yellowstone” fans love the idea of dressing as the father and son duo. Several fans commented on the post, saying they will strongly consider this costume idea.
With a brand new season of “Yellowstone” just around the corner, fans are excited to see what the future holds for Tate Dutton. The young man has certainly been put through the wringer in the first three seasons. The evolution of Brecken Merrill’s character has been fascinating to watch.
