One Yellowstone actor joked that he stalked show creator Taylor Sheridan. Here’s why:
Actor Josh Lucas plays the young version of John Dutton on the gripping modern western series.
“I think Taylor Sheridan is the first and only director that I actually have stalked,” the actor joked in a promotional video.
“And I was obviously a fan of his writing before Yellowstone and then when I read the script I was just totally blown away by it. He didn’t cast me, but you know, I kind of let it go and at the same time I sent him little notes and messages about why he made a mistake,” he laughed. Hilariously, the strategy somehow worked.
“Then, strangely, I got this text saying could I be on set the next day for a different character in a different part and I’m kind of amazed and grateful that it happened that way,” Lucas said.
‘Yellowstone’ Will Come Back this Fall
After months of waiting for an official release date, fans finally got confirmation that the show would return in the fall. Yellowstone has historically premiered in June. For unknown reasons, the date got pushed back to sometime in the fall months.
Season 4 will also feature a host of new faces. One of those faces includes Piper Perabo. The actress, known for her work on Coyote Ugly, Covert Affairs, and Imagine Me & You, will play a woman named Summer. Summer is a protestor against the state-funded police force that protects animal slaughter and industrialized farming. She should be an incredibly interesting addition to the season.
Also joining the cast is Jacki Weaver. The Australian-born actress is known for her roles in Animal Kingdom and Silver Linings Playbook. Weaver Will Play Caroline Warner, who is the CEO of Market Equities.
Season 5 Production is in Motion
Not only is season four on its way very shortly, but season 5 talks are underway. Filming for season 5 begins this summer.
“Taylor’s working on [the scripts] right now, and I think we will be back sometime in July. That’s what I’m looking forward to, getting back to Montana,” actor Rip Wheeler Cole Hauser said as a part of his Virtual Happy Hour sit down.
Not only that, but he thinks Yellowstone season five is going to be fantastic.
“And after Season 5 – I mean, Season 5 is going to be wonderful. The way we ended Season 4… I can’t give too much away. But the way Season 4 ends, I think the audience [will be] happily surprised with a lot of things,” he finished.
It’s rare for fans to know much about a season before its previous season has even been released, but Yellowstone works a bit differently than traditional broadcast television. The series airs on the Paramount Network. Thankfully for Yellowstone fans, the long wait is almost over. Fall is right around the corner.
