Earlier this week, Last Man Standing’s Tim Allen lent his “Pure Michigan” voice in support of Republican U.S. Senate candidate John James.
In the 30-second ad titled “Together,” Allen says that “Michigan is a place where people respect each other, love each other.”
“Michigan — that’s John James, defending our country, offering a healing hand, creating jobs that matter,” Allen says.
James also sent out the ad to his followers on Twitter.
“Michigan: our values, our people, our home. That’s what I’m running to protect,” James wrote. “We take care of each other & it’s time for a leader who will take care of us & put people before politics. We are blessed to live in the greatest state in this nation. Mission first, people always.”
This isn’t the first time the Home Improvement star has lent his support to a political candidate. Allen attended President Donald Trump’s 2017 inauguration. Additionally, in 2016, he was in favor of former Ohio governor John Kasich. However, according to the Detroit Free Press, Kasich has endorsed Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden this year.
Tim Allen & Richard Karn Reunite in New Show
When Tim Allen isn’t busy narrating political ads, he is starring on the show Last Man Standing. However, he announced back in August that a Home Improvement reunion is in the works with Allen and Richard Karn set to appear in a new show together. The former co-stars are joining forces for a series called Assembly Required.
The show, set to air on the History network, reportedly will be a competition series for participants looking to “awaken their inner builder.” Assembly Required hopes to shine the spotlight on the best builders from across the country at their home workshops.
They will compete to revamp everyday household items in need of fixing. Furthermore, Allen and Karn will share the backstory on these items and celebrate the men and women responsible for creating them.
Allen posted a selfie from the set of his new show Assembly Required on Thursday night.
“Working this week on the History Channel show ‘Assembly Required’ with Richard Karn. Lots of laughs,” wrote Allen, who posed alongside former Home Improvement co-star Richard Karn.
