Vin Diesel had an emotional reunion with Paul Walker’s brother Cody at a Phoenix car event recently.

In an emotional Instagram post that featured a picture of Diesel, Tyrese and Cody, Diesel wrote, “If FuelFest isn’t the biggest car show in the world… it will be. Build everything in your life out of love… pro tip.
@fuelfest @codybwalker @tyrese.”

It was a beautiful moment shared between the group of guys.

Tyrese echoed that sentiment in his comment on the post. He said, “Cody was moved to Tears yesterday big bro…. 8 years later we’re still all feeling the loss of our brother P-Dub! FuelFest has really created a movement Cody is making us all so very proud for running with the car culture and doing it his way…… Love your heart big bro….Arizona thank you guys! F10 is up next…….8 years PW! We miss you everyday!!!!”

Cody, Paul’s brother added, “The camera caught a real one right here. Thank you for always believing in me, supporting me and most importantly helping to keep a legacy alive.” The bond is clearly still very strong with Diesel and the Walker family, which is beautiful to see.

Vin Diesel And Paul Walker’s Dream

Diesel joked with Walker years ago he told USA Today about how many movies he wanted to get to for the Fast & Furious universe. It was a fair question at the time, but now, the series is heading towards F10, with The Rock’s status still very much up in the air, so it is fair to wonder if this will be it after ten movies. Ten movies in the franchise is a tremendous run for a franchise, but it means more to Diesel to make that number because it was a promise he made to Walker.

Diesel recalled about the conversation, “And I remember this giant smile on his face like, ‘What?! That’s impossible!’ But later that night we were talking, and I promised him that we would get to that point.” Diesel promised Walker that they would make it to ten movies.

Diesel added, “It may not mean anything to anyone else.” He concluded, “but to me on a personal level, that’s the promise that I made to my brother. So I’d like to hopefully, if it’s meant to be, honor that.”

Clearly, getting to this very spot is a big deal to Diesel. Looking back, getting to F10 seemed like quite the long shot. But now with F9 in the rearview mirror, F10 is on the way and it is possible that this is where it could all end for Diesel and the family. It is certainly plausible based on Diesel’s promise to Walker those many years ago.
