For Vin Diesel, “family” means everything.
Whether he’s playing his “Fast & Furious” character Dominic Toretto or it’s his real life, Diesel has made it clear countless times that his crew from the franchise are more than just friends or co-workers to him.
That was especially true for his late friend Paul Walker. Vin Diesel posted an incredibly heart-wrenching and emotional tribute to Walker on the eight-year anniversary of his passing yesterday. Paul Walker died on November 30, 2013, at the age of 40. He died from a car crash collision.
The two had sparked a lifetime friendship starting from the 2001 “The Fast and the Furious” movie that started it all. The team was working on production for “Furious 7” at the time of his passing and ended up making the movie a tribute to Walker.
Vin Diesel Emotional Instagram Tribute
Vin Diesel shared a gorgeous photo from Paul Walker’s daughter, Meadow Walker’s, recent wedding. Diesel walked her down the aisle and his daughter Hania Riley Sinclair was her maid of honor for the event.
Diesel started the Instagram post with a story about when they were filming the fourth movie in the series. Walker went into Diesel’s trailer and asked what was on his mind. Diesel revealed he was about to have a baby and was headed there after work. Walker told him to really be present in that delivery room and that it would be the absolute best day of his life.
He followed that advice and now he has Hania in his life.
“It’s been eight years today… and not a day goes by that I don’t reflect of the brotherhood we were blessed to have… but you know that. Tragedies in life are always followed by life’s blessings if you just stay open and have faith. Look at this photo Pablo, it will make you smile. The same angel that you helped me prepare for in the most beautiful way with your brotherly advice is the same angel that precious Meadow asked to be her Maid of Honor,” Diesel wrote on Instagram.
The post, as well as the recent wedding, is enough proof for “Fast & Furious” fans that the bond that came out of the franchise is truly family. Meadow Walker even commented on his post by writing, “Love love love you. And my sister and family.”
Meadow Walker and ‘Fast & Furious’
The movie franchise decided to keep Paul Walker alive in the story world that they created. Different characters would mention Walker’s character on occasion and what he was up to.
Now, several of these actors are calling for Meadow Walker to make an appearance in the upcoming “Fast & Furious” movie.
Jordana Brewster is one of these stars hoping for a Meadow cameo in the next movie. Her son, as well as Vin Diesel’s, both cameoed in the last movie. She thinks that Meadow’s appearance would be just as “natural.”
“I think it would be a beautiful way… I feel like she feels so comfortable with us and she feels very included in our universe. And so to extend that onto being on screen would be very natural, I think. It would be very cool,” Brewster told Access regarding the possibility.
