It isn’t that big of a stretch for actress Lindsey Morgan to play a Texan on The CW series “Walker” since she is a Lone Star State native.
Morgan, who plays Micki Ramirez, Cordell Walker’s new partner in the Texas Rangers, was born in Houston, Texas. While she may be new to some “Walker” viewers, Morgan has a growing track record of steady work and has history with The CW.
In fact, she’s been on The CW for six seasons playing Raven Reyes on “The 100.” That science-fiction series ran from 2014-20.
Yet what about Morgan the person, the human being behind the actress?
Lindsey Morgan Starts Acting Career While In College
Well, she started attending The University of Texas at Austin.
Ultimately, Morgan left to chase her actress dreams. She went south from Austin on Interstate 35 toward San Antonio, then turned right on Interstate 10 and went to Los Angeles.
She plays an extra on the Texas high school football-themed show “Friday Night Lights,” based on the book by Buzz Bissinger.
But her first actual role was in the 2011 movie “Detention.”
Morgan Earns Daytime Emmy Nomination For TV Role
Her hard work paid off in 2012 when she was cast as Kristina Davis on ABC’s critically-acclaimed soap opera “General Hospital.”
Morgan’s on-screen work earned her a nomination in 2013 for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series. She didn’t win the award, though, and ended up leaving “General Hospital” after one year.
That opening ultimately led her to the role of Raven Reyes on “The 100.” Her seven seasons there would lead to her current role on “Walker.”
Morgan is engaged to actor Shaun Sipos.
On “Walker,” Morgan has a love interest as actor Jeff Pierre plays Trey Barnett, Micki’s Army medic boyfriend.
Jared Padalecki plays the lead role of “Walker,” a reboot of the famed Chuck Norris series “Walker, Texas Ranger.”
Lindsey Morgan is making her presence felt on the show. Her role on “Walker” will continue to expand and grow as the series continues throughout this season.
