Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley gave a breathtaking performance at the Grand Ole Opry.

Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley Live at the Opry

The former CMA Awards co-hosts performed socially distant on the stage that made country music famous. Their concert took place on September 5 and was livestreamed on the Opry’s YouTube channel.

The duo kicked things off with “Jesus Take The Wheel.” They also performed classics like “Let The Circle Be Unbroken” and “Remind Me.” Paisley joined in on “Whiskey Lullaby” and “Ghost On The Stereo.” The pair even performed a stunning rendition of Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn’s classic, “Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man.”

“As long as the Opry keeps going, I have hope for country music and Nashville,” Paisley told the virtual viewers. Underwood concluded their concert with a joke. “This is like the river, 6 feet apart, for the pandemic,” she said.

Opry’s Next Livestream

The Grand Ole Opry has kept the show alive by going virtual. The iconic collaborations still happen at a safe distance with the audiences watching from their homes.

Shows in the month of September will still continue to take place without a live audience. “To align with Metro Nashville health and safety guidelines amid current COVID-19 concerns, the Grand Ole Opry will only broadcast and livestream the Saturday, September 12, 19 and 26 performances,” their statement read. “It will not be possible to have an in-house audience for these shows.”

As for the shows that are currently on sale in October, November, and Decemeber, the Opry is not 100% sure what the future will hold. “We continue to hope these shows will take place as planned,” the Opry added.

The next concert takes place on September 12 at 7 PM ET on The Circle YouTube. Riley Green, Tenille Townes, Ashley McBryde, and Mark Wills will be performing.
