If you haven’t heard, Sadie Robertson Huff is pregnant. The former Duck Dynasty and Dancing With the Stars star recently announced the news, and is now unveiling all the details.
The latest update comes through her Youtube channel. In a recent video, Robertson goes in depth on exactly how the pair found out.
The story opens up around Robertson and her long-time friend Laney Redmon, who is also pregnant.
“My best friend Laney is pregnant as well,” Robertson starts. “We were going to their dinner reveal party and while we were there, Christian was like, ‘Ah well, you know, it’d be so much fun to have a baby.’ He’s like all in his feels and I’m like, I really just, I don’t know if it’s the time yet.”
Sadie and Christian approached pregnancy with a balanced and patient mindset.
“It’s okay if it’s not our timing. We can just wait for whenever it’s right. And I’m like, I really don’t think I’m pregnant. At the moment, I really didn’t think so. Laney comes over to me and is like, ‘I’ve been having all these dreams that our kids on vacation together, they’re growing up together.”
Robertson Huff Gets a Dream
While pregnancy was obviously on the mind of the couple, Sadie didn’t expect it in her dreams.
But the first sign that something was up when she couldn’t stop eating one Sunday.
“We wake up for church,” Robertson says. “And I look over at Christian and I’m like, ‘I am starving…’ So we go to church and after I’m like, ‘Whew, I’m so hungry.'”
That night, Robertson Huff says she had a dream that told all her she needed to know to get a test.
“I just could not get full all day,” Robertson says. “Meanwhile, I didn’t even think I was pregnant, I was just thinking, ‘This is so weird, I’m just so hungry today for some reason.’ I go to bed and I have a dream… Somebody runs up to me, and they said, ‘You’re pregnant.’ I wake up the next day and was like, that was so weird.”
The rest, as they say, is history.
