One act on The Voice just nailed their set in the top 11 live performances. Team Kelly’s Girl Named Tom blew the audience away with More Hearts Than Mine by Ingrid Andress. The three nailed the country song, as they have with every song they’ve performed thus far.
Girl Named Tom is a band consisting of three siblings. Their harmonies are stunning, and they’ve made it incredibly far for a group act. With a performance like this one, it would be shocking if they didn’t make it all the way to the finale.
You can watch their performance in a tweet from The Voice.
Kelly Clarkson reacted to Their Newest Performance on ‘The Voice’ in a Video Message
Kelly had plenty of wonderful things to say to the act following their performance.
“Proud of y’all for nailing a country song!!” she wrote in a tweet. But the video message is truly sweet.
“Did y’all just hear that? Girl Named Tom? It was magical. Please vote for.. I call them GNT. Please vote for Girl named tom yall they did such a great job. I can’t wait to hear what they sound like next week too.” Clarkson took the video from right by the stage. Girl Named Tom is arguably one of the best
Going into the finals, Girl Named Tom are definitely favorites. But one contestant, Team Blake’s Wendy Moten, is still absolutely shining and will be really tough to beat. If Girl Named Tom does manage to snag the win, they’d be the first group to ever do so on The Voice.
Groups are allowed to perform on the voice, but it’s an uphill battle. It’s called The Voice, not The Voices, and it’s harder to resonate when you can’t hear one singular person. But both Girl Named Tom and Jim and Sasha Allen are still in the running this year.
Based on Numbers Alone, Which Coach is Most likely to Win?
With four different teams and 11 contestants left, some coaches have more team members than others. So ignoring the talent levels on each team, which coast has the best numerical chance to win?
Right now, Team Legend and Team Ariana have two acts each. So based on numbers alone, it really looks like a race between team Kelly and Team Blake. Sounds familiar, doesn’t it? These two really know how to coach at this point. Shelton has been on the show since that start and has had more winners than anyone else. He won last season, and maybe he’ll win again.
If you want to catch new episodes of The Voice, the show airs every Monday and Tuesday on NBC starting at 8/7 central.
