‘Wheel of Fortune’ Addresses Fans After Complaints About Technical Issues

Attention, Wheel watchers! Was anyone wondering when the Wheel of Fortune website would be in working order? Well, the good news is that it’s back up and running after complaints of technical issues. We’re sure you’re all relieved by the prompt action and concern on the part of the Wheel of Fortune team.

The long-running game show took to Twitter to assure fans that they were hard at work trying to right the ship.

TheWheel of Fortune’ Website is Worth Checking Out

Why should you worry about the website being down? Glad you asked. First of all, the only way any of us are ever getting up on that stage to mix it up with Pat Sajak and Vanna White is by applying to be a contestant online. So good luck trying to do that while the website is down/under maintenance.

Second, where else are you going to catch up on all the latest behind-the-scenes developments at Wheel of Fortune? For example, we bet you didn’t know that longtime Wheel announcer Jim Thornton is also a movie star. Well, “star” is a stretch. But he’s in Monsters, Inc. And anyone who contributed to that masterwork of family animation is alright by us.

Maggie Sajak caught up with Thornton as part of the show recognizing his 10th anniversary as the announcer. He was adorably embarrassed when she brought up his movie star status.

“I’m the guy who comes on the TV at the beginning of the film, and he says, ‘The future is bright at Monsters Incorporated. We are part of your life. We power your car, blah, blah, blah. It’s about 45 seconds, and I think it’s really the glue that bound the movie together,” says Thornton in the video.

Jim Thornton reciting his lines is worth the price of admission by itself. The man is a true talent. And guess what? You’re not going to find that content anywhere but on the Wheel of Fortune website.

Maggie Sajak is Digging Into Her Role as the Show’s Social Media Correspondent

Maggie Sajak was born to work on Wheel of Fortune. Well, she actually has an incredibly impressive academic resume and is currently enrolled in law school (got that from the website too). But still, she was raised by the show’s iconic host and had already made appearances on the show by the time she was a toddler.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to bring an insider’s look at the show with new behind-the-scenes features, interviews, videos, and insights,” writes Maggie, per the website.

You can catch Maggie, Pat, and Vanna on regular Wheel and Celebrity Wheel of Fortune on Sundays.
