With over 7,000 dresses during her career on “Wheel of Fortune,” Vanna White is a style pro at this point. She has been hosting alongside Pat Sajak for over 30 years.

Each night her dresses are different vibrant colors and functional designs as she flips letters on stage. From sparkling grey dresses to vibrant floral patterns, White has worn just about any style you can think of.

‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Styling Session

If you haven’t been paying attention to her dresses until now, “Wheel of Fortune” has its own Pinterest. Here the show posts a photo of each dress Vanna White wears on the show.

“Wheel of Fortune” also uploaded a video of costume and fashion designer, Bob Mackie, styling her for an episode.

“I can’t believe that I am wearing Bob Mackie designs. It’s such an honor, I have been a huge fan of him my whole life,” White said.

The behind-the-scenes look shows White and other members of the crew working alongside Mackie. He has sketches strewn out on a table for different dresses. She tries on a sparkling long-sleeved gown. One of the first things the “Wheel of Fortune” icon does is raise her arms to make sure she can still do her job functionally.

Perhaps the most interesting of the designs is a long black dress with an elaborate, sparkling, vibrant circular pattern near her hip. Mackie calls it an “embroidered ‘Wheel of Fortune.'” It has yellow, green, and red accents on it.

In each episode, White throws on a different gown. However, in one episode in 2020, she repeated gowns for the first time ever on the show. She wore a bright blue dress on the stage for another appearance. In a Facebook video, she jokingly says “this is so 2020.”

Vanna White Reflects On Decades Of Dresses

After wearing over 7,000 dresses, White has to have a few favorites from her massive collection over the years. Sadly, Vanna White only gets to wear the outfit while on the show and doesn’t bring any of the glam back home with her.

She told InStyle in 2018 that off-the-shoulder dresses are a no-go. It makes it difficult to reach that top letter on the board.

While the dresses are provided by the show and different designers, her shoes are always hers and not borrowed. “The ones that have platforms in the front. Guess makes good ones. They’re high heels but they have a 2-inch platform in the front, so it’s almost like you’re walking on 3-inch heels and not 5-inch heels. I probably have more Guess shoes than any other,” White said.

Since she has been on the show since the ’80s, looking back at her outfits is a major blast from the past. From shoulder pads to ballgowns to collars, White has showcased fashion evolution while on “Wheel of Fortune.”

“There’s one that I distinctly remember. It’s white and it has pink feathers on the bottom … I don’t know why that particular dress spoke to me. I think it reminded me of a Barbie dress I had when I was 10 years old. It was hard to walk in because there were no slits in it. But that’s OK. I survived,” White said of one of her least favorite looks.

Given Sajak and White don’t seem ready to retire anytime soon, there will be a lot more dresses in the future.
