“Wheel of Fortune” host Pat Sajak is preparing for Halloween tomorrow, just like the rest of us. However, trick-or-treaters might be surprised by what they find in his “candy” bowl.
Sajak took to Twitter earlier today to share with fans and followers his Halloween habits. Last year, the host decided to forego your typical Snickers and Hershey bars, Skittles and Pixie Stix. Instead, he went for a more… gourmet route.
“Kids didn’t seem to like last Halloween’s mini French onion soups. I think it was the mozzarella. Going with Gruyère tomorrow night. Will also be more careful about leaky containers,” the “Wheel of Fortune” wrote on Twitter.
Leave it to Sajak to pull out all the stops for the kids in his street. Fans appreciated his humor, commenting on the post what other odd Halloween goodies they’ve been subjected to over the years.
“Anything beats the little boxes of raisins. Don’t be that guy,” Twitter user Chaz Peligro wrote.
“School supplies and pennies are my go-to,” fan Danny Carter commented.
Others totally bought into Sajak’s Halloween goodies, wishing they lived on the “Wheel of Fortune” host’s street.
“I will be hitting your door many times in various costumes,” one fan said.
Another wrote, “Definitely go with the Gruyère! They’ll be lined up around the block.”
One person said he should make sure to add drops of tabasco sauce to the French onion soup, while others wondered what kind of croutons he’d put in it. Maybe if we’re lucky, the “Wheel of Fortune” host will share his beloved recipe with us. Or maybe he’ll make us wait until next Halloween.
‘Celebrity Wheel of Fortune’ Host Pat Sajak Recalls Anthony Michael Hall’s Movies
Actor Anthony Michael Hall will appear on this Sunday’s “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” alongside Loni Love and Mario Cantone. Ironically, his episode airs on Halloween, after his newest movie “Halloween Kills” just dropped.
Host Pat Sajak and Hall talked about the upcoming film in a recent clip posted to the show’s official Twitter page. Afterward, Sajak said, “You did those movies that are touchstones for all of us.” He then asked Hall to name some of his most iconic roles.
“Back in the eighties, I started out with Sixteen Candles,” Hall begins. “The Breakfast Club, Weird Science.”
Sajak replies, “They’re just great because they all remind you of something, you know? They’re important times in your life, in your case you know, kids, growing up, and all that. It means a lot to them.”
The “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” Twitter account captioned the clip, “You love Anthony Michael Hall, too? Well join the club! Catch him (if you can) spinning the wheel on Halloween night for @SavetheChildren!”
