We all know Pat Sajak has the jokes, and there’s no one he likes joking with more than his daughter, Maggie Sajak. So when Maggie announced she was on Twitter, he jumped at the chance to rib his only daughter.
On May 29, the 26-year-old Baltimore native took to the popular social media platform to announce that she was writing a tweet for the very first time, simply writing, “This is my first tweet.”
Of course, Pat Sajak couldn’t resist poking fun of his daughter. In the replies, he quipped back with, “Do you just think of these things off the top of your head?” So far, Maggie has yet to respond.
Speaking of the father-daughter duo, the two will be back together on June 7 as they host a special “Wheel of Fortune” Father’s Day chat.
On Instagram, the official account for the classic game show announced the news with a clip of the two. “WHEEL EXCLUSIVE: Pat & @maggiesajak are getting together to celebrate Father’s Day week on #WheelOfFortune! Check out our Instagram on Monday, June 7, for a special chat with the father-daughter duo.”
Per the Wheel of Fortune website, the chat will feature highlights that go back to 2000 when a much younger Maggie and her brother, Patrick, made a special appearance on their dad’s show. Now, 21-years-later, we’re sure Pat Sajak and his kids will have much to chat about.
Pat Sajak’s Proud Father Moment
Pat Sajak couldn’t be more proud of his kids. In addition to all of Maggie’s accomplishments, his son Patrick recently graduated from medical school. During an episode of “Wheel,”Pat Sajak couldn’t help but gush to his co-host Vanna White about his son, asking her if she minded if he did “a little parents bragging.”
“So you know my son, Patrick, you’ve known him all his life. Well he’s made it through medical school, and he is now officially Dr. Sajak, and we’re all thrilled.” He then joked that the only “troubling part” of the news is that “he insists that I call him Dr. Sajak.” He said that he and his wife Lesley “couldn’t be prouder” of Patrick.
Maggie also celebrated her older brother’s accomplishment, taking to Twitter to give him a shout-out. “So proud of my big brother,” she tweeted. On Instagram, she also shared a smiling photo of the two of them, writing, “My big brother officially became a doctor today, and I am the MOST proud. Congrats @patricksajak, MD!!!”
