‘Wheel of Fortune’: Pat Sajak Hilariously Trolls Himself Over His Age in New Post

Pat Sajak isn’t afraid to tease himself on social media. The “Wheel of Fortune” host used his Twitter to poke a little fun at his age.

He wrote, “When using a drop-down menu to select my year of birth, I usually have to rest my fingers at around 1970 before I resume.”


Others agreed on the misfortunate experience of tireless scrolling to find your age. One person even connected it to “The Price Is Right.”

Pat Sajak Early Life

If you’re curious just how far Sajak has to scroll, it’s to the number 1946. He is currently 74.

Before he was the current three-time Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Game Show Host winner, Sajak was a college student in Chicago. He went to Columbia College Chicago and worked as a desk clerk at a hotel.

Sajak was also in the U.S. Army as a disc jockey during the Vietnam War. He hosted the “Dawn Buster” radio show. After his time in radio, Sajak took on a full-time position in Los Angeles as a weatherman for KNBC.

Eventually, he landed the role on “Wheel of Fortune” in 1983. Now he is also the host of “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” also, as of 2021.

As for his personal life, Sajak is married to Lesly Brown-Sajak. They have a son, Patrick, and a daughter, Margaret.

Although he is jokingly tired and distressed over his age, Pat Sajak is old enough to have a 26-year-old daughter, who goes by Maggie.

She is actually an aspiring country-pop artist as well. In 2011, she released the song, “First Kiss.” The video for her song, which was directed by Trey Fanjoy, was actually featured on an episode of “Wheel of Fortune” as a birthday gift.

A few years later she released “Live Out Loud” in honor of a young girl in Maryland who was battling cancer a the time.

In 2013, she released a song called “Wild Boy” as well. Maggie Sajak also went to Princeton University and has a degree in history, according to Oprah Magazine.

She was the letter-turner in November 2019 and Vanna White was the host while Sajak was recovering from surgery.
