After “Wheel of Fortune,” co-host Pat Sajak made a special birthday shoutout in honor of his wife’s birthday, his daughter, Maggie Sajak, had to respond. On Wednesday, the 26-year-old “Wheel of Fortune” media correspondent included a tribute post to her mom for her birthday.

In her Instagram stories, a much younger Maggie is posing the same way as her mom. In the caption, she added, “Happy Birthday to my bestie.” She also included a picturesque snap of a marina in Annapolis — the city where the family lives in addition to Los Angeles, Calif.

Maggie also included a screenshot from an Instagram post from the official “Wheel of Fortune” page. In the show’s post, they include a clip from last night’s episode in which Pat Sajak wishes his wife of 32 years a happy birthday.

“It’s April 21st, and you know that means,” Vanna White says to Sajak.

“For the past many years, I have wished a happy birthday to my wife, Lesly Sajak, and to our good friend, Judy Friedman. And I do it for Lesley because I love her and then I don’t have to buy her a gift,” Sajak says with a laugh.

He added: “However, she’s caught on to this now, and she wants more than just a greeting, so here’s my greeting, and I’ll throw in a kiss,” he adds while blowing a kiss to the camera.  After the show aired, Maggie quickly reposted the video to her Instagram story and hilariously wrote: “Don’t worry he’s kidding about the gift thing… I think.”

Lesly & Pat Sajak’s History

Decades ago, Sajak met his future bride through a mutual friend in 1988 at a restaurant opening in Irvine, California. At the time, Brown was 23, and Sajak was 42. Despite the age gap, it was love at first sight, and they tied the knot a year later.

Before meeting Sajak, Brown studied television production at the University of Maryland and graduated in 1986. In addition, she also had a successful run as a model. She appeared in Playboy and was named “Miss Georgetown.” Today, she works as a professional photographer but will sometimes make special appearances on “Wheel of Fortune.”

When doctors hospitalized Sajak for a blocked intestine in 2019, Brown and their children were at his side, even if he didn’t know it.

“In the background [at the hospital], I could hear my wife and daughter talking,” he recalled to “Good Morning America” that year. “It sounded like they were a mile off, but they were right next to me! They were talking to each other. And I remember thinking, not in a morbid way, ‘I think this must be death. This must be what death is like.'”

“Hearing their voices, I thought, ‘Boy, their lives are gonna change now.’ And I felt badly for them,” he continued. “I didn’t feel badly about dying. I felt badly that they were gonna have to deal with the aftermath. As it turned out, I was just high.”
