Pretty much anyone with access to a television during the last three or so decades has seen at least one episode of “Wheel of Fortune.”
That means they have seen its cohost Vanna White. And, while she doesn’t always have all that much to say on the show, she is a very interesting person.
One thing fans of “Wheel of Fortune” might not know is that White describes herself as “spiritual” and as a “Christian.” She shared details about her faith during a 2018 interview with “Believer.”
When asked to share details about her faith, White told the publication that she is “a very spiritual person.”
She also said that she believes in God. And, she came to her faith as a child. In fact, she grew up in the Baptist faith, as have many others who grew up in the South. White hails from North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
“… I grew up Baptist – I was baptized Baptist,” White said. “I went, you know, I go to church. Do I go to church every Sunday? No. But I have my personal relationship with God. I say my prayers.”
And, while she has her own personal beliefs, the “Wheel of Fortune” star said she doesn’t make a practice of forcing her beliefs onto others.
“I am a Christian and I don’t preach, because I feel everyone’s entitled to their own religion and their own beliefs, but if anyone asks me, I am Christian and, I mean, I’m not embarrassed to say I am and I openly enjoy it,” White also said. “You know, it is my belief and …”
‘Wheel of Fortune’ Cohost Also Shared Her Views About How She Defines God
In addition to sharing details about her religious upbringing, Vanna White also shared her views about the God she believes in.
“Well, for me, God is good,” the “Wheel of Fortune” cohost said.
This point of view helps inform how she goes about her life, White also explained in 2018.
“I think when you’re a good person on the inside and you give people a good feeling or you’re a good role model for them and you live right, you’re good-hearted, kindhearted, I feel that’s the way we all should be,” White said.
The “Wheel of Fortune” celebrity also said she believed goodness would help the world be a much better place.
“There would be peace in the world if everybody could be that way and not be greedy and all that stuff,” White said. “So I just try to look at the best in every situation and live good.”
In addition to not hearing Vanna White preach on “Wheel of Fortune,” fans also shouldn’t expect her to talk politics.
“… I’m not gonna get into (politics),” White told the publication. “And again it goes back to, you know, everybody has their own opinion, no matter what it is, it’s – I stay out of controversy or … I just …”
