‘Wheel of Fortune’: Vanna White’s Son Tells Maggie Sajak His Favorite Part of Mom’s Banana Pudding

by Amy Myers

Classic, sweet and timeless, Wheel of Fortune letter-turner Vanna White is just like her favorite dessert, banana pudding. Earlier today, White revealed step-by-step her modification to the classic Nilla Wafer pudding recipe that had Maggie Sajak, who recreated the dessert with White’s instructions, diving in for seconds. The off-set exclusive came about as a result of one of White’s famed conversations with host Pat Sajak at the end of a Wheel episode. During the segment, White explained how she makes a few simple changes to the box recipe so that it’s lighter, creamier and more delectable.

The Wheel of Fortune star wasn’t the only one present to help Maggie Sajak make the sweet treat, though. Beside White sat her two kids, Nicholas (Nikko), 27, and Giovanna (Gigi), 24. The famous letter-turner explained that her son and daughter “grew up” with her version of banana pudding, making them experts of the dish (both baking and eating it). Despite the fact that they might be adults now, the two still have the same soft spot for their mom’s banana pudding.

Watch Maggie Sajak recreate Vanna White’s famous dish below.

“Well, like she said,” Nikko said, referring to his famous mother, “it only lasts one day in our house. And that’s mostly because of her because she has a huge sweet tooth.”

The Wheel of Fortune star nodded in agreement, admitting to her frequent sweet cravings. Despite the irresistible taste of the banana pudding, though, Nikko’s favorite part comes from a very special step that his mom takes before completing the dessert.

“But my favorite part would be to see, like, a fresh banana pudding out of the fridge, and she used to put a little heart in the meringue, so it was made with love,” Nikko explained.

While Wheel of Fortune fans are well-familiar with Pat Sajak’s daughter, Maggie, some might not know Nikko and Gigi Pietro as intimately. Nikko, born on June 10, 1994, graduated from Oregon State University. It’s not quite clear what the oldest son does for a living. Although, according to his Instagram page, he spends plenty of time traveling and hanging out with friends. Previously, Nikko dated a Liberian monk named Jaycee Akinsanya. However, it seems the two are no longer romantically involved.

Meanwhile, Gigi is a young artist living in Huntington Beach, California. She graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and is now an apprentice at a tattoo shop. Outside of her job, she also dabbles in photography, drawing and other forms of art.

And, of course, when they’re visiting their Wheel of Fortune mom, they’re scouring the fridge for her famous banana pudding.
