Much like peanut butter and jelly between two slices of bread, Pat Sajak and Vanna White go together perfectly on “Wheel of Fortune.”
The mighty “Wheel of Fortune” duo have built up a great deal of chemistry having worked together for many years. The two television stars are so closely associated that it would be hard to imagine one without the other.
Much like other classic television combos, Sajak and White will forever hold a special place in the hearts of watchers. Could you imagine Andy Taylor without Barney Fife? Would you want to live in a world where Tim “The Tool Man” Taylor didn’t have Al Borland? Many “Wheel of Fortune” fans feel exactly the same way about their dynamic duo.
For a couple of decades now, Pat Sajak runs the wheel while Vanna White turns the letters — the way it is meant to be. “Wheel of Fortune” watchers would not have it any other way.
One of the best parts of “Wheel of Fortune” is when the game is over with just Sajak and White left on stage. They talk about their lives and give fans a glimpse behind the curtains. The two are so natural together that could talk about anything and make it sound entertaining. For example — the “Wheel of Fortune” team had a lively discussion in a recent episode of the popular game show. The topic of conversation was Vanna White’s cat, Stella.
“Who else watches Wheel of Fortune with their pets?” the Instagram post asks.
Pat Sajak and Vanna White have a delightful discussion about their furry friends as the episode comes to an end.
‘Wheel of Fortune’ Duo Closes Show With a Little Cat Talk
Sajak starts the conversation by jokingly calling Vanna’s cat “Leon,” which is obviously not the feline’s name. Vanna quickly corrects him, pointing out her cat’s name is Stella.
“One of my favorite subjects is your cat, Leon,” Sajak says as he stands next to White and says good night to the “Wheel of Fortune” audience.
“Stella!” White says emphatically.
After Sajak announces that his cohort has taught her cat a new trick, Vanna elaborates on her pet’s talents.
“She’s almost 16 years old,” White says. “And I finally let her watch TV. So I put on these YouTube videos of birds and squirrels and she loves it. She just watches — she is mesmerized.”
Of course, Sajak wants to know why the cat isn’t watching “Wheel of Fortune.”
“Just have her watch Wheel,” the host says. “We could use every viewer we can get.”
White and Sajak’s ending note drew a big round of laughs as they signed off for the evening.
