“Wheel of Fortune” co-host, Vanna White, could be saying “I do” in the near future. Although it’s taken White some time to consider tying the knot again, the longtime letter-turner could be walking down the aisle to marry her boyfriend of ten years, John Donaldson.
So who is John Donaldson, and when did the lovebirds meet?
Besides being White’s better half, Donaldson, 56, is also a president of JDC Construction. According to the website, his company works throughout Southern and Northern California. It creates a “variety of residential property renovations, from custom single-family homes to apartment communities ranging from 100 to 600 units.”
Before owning his own company, he started as a laborer. After earning just $5 an hour, he later moved up to carpentry.
He worked at multiple construction and development companies over the years. He also worked on homes for some of Hollywood’s biggest stars like Richard Dreyfuss, Dan Aykroyd, and Martin Mull.
Donaldson and White met each other when they were introduced by their friends in the year 2012. Since then, they have been inseparable.
Could Wedding Bells Be In Vanna White’s Future?
“He is kind, understanding and lets me be me,” the White once told Closer Weekly. “Today, I am happy just the way things are. The biggest surprise to my fans is probably how simple I live in real life.”
Before her relationship with Donaldson, she was married to her ex-husband, George Santo Pietro, from 1990 to 2002. She was also engaged to businessman Michael Kaye from 2004 to 2006. Before those relationships, she found love with her former fiancé John Gibson in the ’80s until his tragic death in a plane crash in 1986.
In January 2020, White shared a cute photo of the four smiling in front of a tropical Hawaiian sunset. “Happy New Year from our family to yours!” she captioned the post.
According to a source from OK! Magazine, Donaldson “is so supportive, and they’re so simpatico they never even argue.” Despite the icons’ initial nervousness about getting married again, Donaldson has “made Vanna a believer!”
The source also revealed that the couple has discussed having “an intimate ceremony in Hawaii,” though the source did not disclose a specific location for the nuptials.
Additionally, if they get married, the ceremony will, of course, include her namesake, “Wheel of Fortune.” White reportedly wants Pat Sajak to walk her down the aisle. “Pat thinks John is a great guy, which means a lot to Vanna,” said the insider. “John visits the set all the time and gets along with the whole crew.”
