The son of rock music legend Eddie Van Halen is making headlines yet again. This time, Wolfgang Van Halen took to social media to blast a video blogger for making a video about his late father.

Eddie Van Halen, of course, was the main songwriter and guitarist for the rock band, Van Halen. He died of a stroke at Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, California back in October of 2020. He was 65 years old.

However, a video posted on Saturday, May 1, by the YouTube account, “Channeling Erik,” claims to have had an “afterlife interview” with Eddie Van Halen. Two women appear in the video talking back and forth. One woman is asking “Eddie” questions, while the other gives his answers, claiming to be in contact with him.

But Wolfgang Van Halen was not having any of it.

“You people are batsh-t f—ing crazy,” Van Halen tweeted. “F— this and f— you.”

He then tells his followers that they should “unfollow” him if they believe any of what the so-called psychic had to say.

“If you follow me and believe that my father visited some “psychic” youtuber b-tch from the afterlife to talk about if he liked animals or not, please unfollow me and seek medical attention.”

You can watch the entire 34-minute interview below:

Wolfgang Van Halen and Other Van Halen Fans Offended

Wolfgang Van Halen and other Van Halen fans on social media were offended by the video. They cite it as “not having respect for the dead” and “making money off the backs of others.” And they might have a point here. The ability to read people’s minds and predict the future are not exactly skills that are proven abilities. Yet, research has shown that many people genuinely believe in the existence of psychic powers.

Furthermore, there have been numerous proven instances of psychic fraud over the years. As a result, Wolfgang Van Halen is urging his fans not to believe. Instead, he offered up some other ways for people to spend their time on YouTube.

“There are much better things to watch on YouTube,” Van Halen says before posting a number of links to random videos. “So, what I’m saying is that there is way better sh-t to watch on YouTube than some dummy pretending she’s a psychic. Have a wonderful day.”
