by Hunter Miller

Yellowstone has been promising an epic Season 3 finale and last night’s episode did not disappoint. The series left off on a cliff-hanger that has fans of the Paramount Network series begging to see more.

Warning: ‘Yellowstone’ Season 3 Finale Spoilers Below!

At the end of the episode, Beth (Kelly Reilly), John (Kevin Costner), and Kayce (Luke Grimes) all found themselves in grave danger. Here’s what went down…

The story leaves off with Beth packing up her office. Her assistant then brings in a box addressed to Beth. Before Beth can tell the assistant not to open the package, the box explodes. The massive eruption takes out windows in the office and damages cars outside. While it’s safe to assume the assistant died, the bomb also more than likely killed Beth.

John offers to help a woman and child change their flat tire. While doing so, a mysterious van rolls up. John tells them that he can take care of the situation, but the van sticks around. The driver asks, “Are you, John Dutton?” John replies yes, prompting a man to pull out a gun and shoot him. John’s phone stopped a bullet from hitting his heart, but it remains unknown whether he survives.

In addition to Beth and John, Kayce’s life also hangs in the balance after Sunday night’s finale. The last we see of him, Kayce tells Monica he’s been tapped for candidacy for governor. Shortly thereafter, gunmen storm the office. The final image of Kayce shows him turning his desk over and hiding as Monica yells his name into the phone.
